The silent figure would enter the Yellow Alley just in time to see Dact disappear around a corner.

Out of the corner of their eye they see a flicker of movement coming from a bench. Something.... someone(?) sits on the bench, gazing blankly at the entity with its lifeless eyes.

*The shadow walks over, positioning itself in front of the bench. Not saying anything, it proceeds to stare right back.*

Dact mmms... well... maybe she was shut in and managed to avoid all this out of obliviousness? He goes over to her. Going to get into her field of vision. "Miss... Miss!"

Before Dact can reach the woman something in the shadow lunges out and tackles the maid. There is a muffled scream as she is dragged into the shadows of a nearby maintenance corridor (where they keep the inventory and cleaning supplies).

Dact arrives just in time to see the cleaning cart dragged into a maintenance corridor. The light flickers on and off like something from a horror movie or the restroom at a truck stop in Oklahoma.

He doesn't pause in his charge... and goes to rush down the corridor after the kidnapped woman! He doesn't have time to be scared.

Whatever was behind the Shadowy Figure scampers off in a hurry. Clearly, they don't like pumas.

But wait! Where did the plushie run off to?

He doesn't pause in his charge... and goes to rush down the corridor after the kidnapped woman! He doesn't have time to be scared.

Dactylos brazenly charges into the corridor, past the doors into a supply closet used by the janitorial staff. The shelves are lined with various cleaning agents, brooms, and mops.

There is no sign of either the tackled woman or the thing that attacked her. The only trace that remains is her cleaning cart blocking a door leading onwards into the Galleria's innards.

*Deciding to worry about the plushie later, the figure decides to take off towards whoever had been speaking behind it. As it runs, it continues to rely on its ears for detection purposes.*

Dact frowns... hitting the dead end. He inspects the room carefully for false floors, walls, or trapdoors in the ceiling. There had to be some explanation...

Dact would appear to have rolled a 20 on his Perception. A careful examination of the room reveals a wall panel that is loose. A cursory investigation would reveal that it opens to some sort of hallway. Strange, this does not look like a maintenance hallway.

If Dact were to examine the fake wall he'd see a strange marking of a winged toaster at the corner of the panel.

The shadow's ears pick up the sound of footsteps running towards the food court in the center, on occasion accompanied by voices.

"...Someone is coming...! ...Alert the boss..."

Hrm... success! Dact forges on ahead! This has to be where the poor cleaning lady had been disappeared to. Noting the marking on the corner... he frowns and heads forwards cautiously.

The hallway is quite cramped for the heavily armed knight to step into, spear included. Whoever built this passage did not intend for adult humans to traverse it...

It is quite dark. There is a good possibility of Dact getting eaten by a Grue.

Dact takes out a flashlight... taping it to his spear as he continues along... working his way down the cramped corridor.

*Like a good little pursuer, the shadow makes tracks for the food court in question.*
