A nice meal can be hard to find

Walking down the street, away from the direction leading to the Nothingness, the happy pair looks around for a restaurant or anything really to relieve their rather carnivorous needs, maybe something with fish, a sushi place would be nice.
The short neko-girl clings lovingly around the arm of the dragon-girl, as they walk. "So many are out of business, I wonder what happened here, nya~?", the neko-girl speaks out getting slightly annoyed in their search.

"Hmmmnnn...ah!" Ayako looks around, and then points at a nearby sandwich board outside one of the closed shops.
It says "Closed for regularly scheduled giant monster attack. Back next Tuesday if still standing."
"Regurarry schedured...what kind of town is this?"

[Raleigh]

The normal kind. *A bored looking kobold can be found preparing sushi at a small open air restaurant nearby. Somehow those observing can tell this is Raleigh regardless of the different form.* So long as I don't cook it the food is safe to eat by the way.

"Nya~? They have giant monsters here?" her cat ears rise up, trying to pick up more sounds of maybe potential approaching giants.
Picking up the sound of the kobold, having no idea who Raleigh would be anyway, she notices he was preparing exactly what they were looking for, a bit suspicious however, that somehow this was the only available restaurant in the vicinity. "Normally sushi isn't cooked anyway, So you are good" she leads Ayako and herself to take a seat at the open-air restaurant. "Why aren't you closed too like the rest of them, nya?"

Ayako obviously hasn't met Raleigh before, but all the same she sort of tilts her head to one side, staring at him, and says "...Lareigh? What happens if you cook food?"

[Raleigh]

Oh yes, fairly often. They are so fun to play with. I'm not closed because the giant monsters are far more scared of me than I am of them assuming we aren't speaking about the ones I made. My magic infests the food if I properly cook and creates some horror best described by Lovecraft or left to myth. So what will you two be having, assuming you are eating here?

"Oh oh, sushi! Aah," Ayako abruptly switches languages to Japanese and rattles out an order which even an English-only speaker can determine to be fairly large and varied by its length. Only after finishing does she turn to Dan and add hesitantly, "Um...if that's okay?"

Sure. *Sets to making Ayako's order.* Nice touch avoiding the Kansai-ben. *Before he can be asked how he understood points to his character sheet that shows he dumps massive amounts of skill points into linguistics.*

The curious cat-girl tilts her head, "So you 'play'... and make giant monsters, nya~? How do you do that? Are you a powerful summoner?"

And even though her design of creation was Japanese influenced, she herself could barely understand or speak it properly, but that didn't stop her from loving to hear Ayako talk. Dan-chan nods her head to her dragon-girl companion, "Nya that's fine take anything you like"
Looking over the menu, having no idea what to pick, "I'll go with the chef's recommendation, if you don't mind, I trust your judgement on making something very tasteful, nya~", she leans a bit forward, showing-off her big eyes in a cute but almost pleaful manner.

Indeed. I play quite often as well as make monsters of various sizes. Magic, science, mechanics, and several other ways for creating them and often a combination. Yes. I'm a magic teacher for a reason though my specialty is shape shifting.

One flying dragon roll with some extra oomph to the sauce coming up. Ever had shrimp from the primal seas? Good eating and quite filling.

Placing her hands on the counter/table, giving Raleigh a look of excitement "Nya~?! You are a magic teacher? Can you team us magic? I have been looking for a way to learn magic ever since arriving here, nya~", her tail twirling around in her good mood.

She shakes her head sideways indicating she never had a shrimp from the primal seas or even knows what those seas were.

Ayako just staaares at the food being made hungrily, drawing her attention away from seemingly everything else. It's probably a part-dragon thing.

Oh indeed I am. I have a magical school in town you can visit if you want instruction. I do believe you two are here for dinner at the moment and it would be rude of me to distract you from your original purpose. *After a few more blurred movements and at least five times where it appeared he either had more arms than he should or dozens of tendrils carrying out the work he places their orders in front of them.* Anything to drink for you two?

The dragon-girl starts eating as soon as the food arrives--apparently she was quite hungry, but maybe just hiding it. So of course her mouth is already full when Raleigh asks for a drink order. "Mrnghf?" After chewing and swallowing, "Ummm, any good sake? Olr-uh, just waterl."

[Raleigh]

Sure, I have some of the best. Any particular flavor preference? We have several different fruit flavors of the drink or we can just go with the pure stuff. I have some here that could even get the Yamata-no-Orochi drunk.
