A few rumors are going around of Callista behaving strangely. Walking funny, talking weird, responding to things in an uncanny, bizarre way. Nobody who knows her personally has encountered this, however; the rumors seem to originate from shopkeepers and retailers who've encountered the phenomenon while seeing her shopping at their stores. Of course nobody from that camp would mention the strange behavior to her face while she was acting normally, nor likely to anyone who did know her personally, but after a while word does tend to get around...

*It isn't too long before Callista herself puts in an appearance, sipping from a positively gargantuan chocolate milkshake as she walks down the street... though she might not be entirely recognizable. To all outward appearances, she's completely focused on her snack, her entirely pleased face lending credence to this.

*However, what non-telepathics may not realize is that her mind is behaving like a radar, picking up the locations of everyone around her and keeping her alert to the presence of anyone acting suspiciously or oddly.*

Depending on how exactly the telepathic radar works, Callista may either notice a person indeed acting strangely, or the person responding to that person. Either way, it's sure to lead her to a conversation between one Mightyena-man Clyve and...a person who looks very much like Callista normally does.
Clyve is saying: "Err...you sure you're okay there?"
"I am twelve dollars in fines." 'Callista' tilts her head sloooooooooowly to the right until it's pressed up against her shoulder. "Normal human parson's con sern how ever is appracieted." Her voice sounds like Callista's but her phrasing is weird and the pronunciation of words is occasionally just wrong.
"Er..I'm not exactly a 'normal human' you know."
'Callista''s head straightens up again and then turns upward so her eyes are looking at a point a couple of feet above her conversation partner's head. "My apalagoze. Life is like...box of cat's nips. Minty and attractive to felines." This serves to confuse Clyve further, naturally.

*Callista approaches not long after, still looking highly engrossed in her milkshake. At first it looks like she's going to walk past without acknowledging them, but when she gets near enough, Clyve might hear a voice in his mind with a very familiar tone.*

Callista: ---Clyve? If you hear me, don't react to this. I'm about to do something stupid.---

If Clyve hears he doesn't react. It's possible being dark type makes him not hear, but who even knows. Either way, he says to 'Callista', "Err, so to answer your question, I don't really know where to buy cleethongs...Actually it's more like I don't know what those are."

*Callista takes a bottle of Mountain Dew Baja Blast out of her bag, shakes it a few times, then tosses it over the fake's head. When it explodes, it catches 'Callista'---and probably Clyve too, depending on how close he's standing---in a torrential downpour of water.*

"G'yaah!" Clyve is close enough to be caught in some of the water, and hops out of range quickly. He starts tugging at the wet bits of his clothes in a bit of a panic. "Please don't be color rain, please don't be color rain..." He might have completely missed the warning, based on this response.

'Callista', meanwhile...doesn't seem to react to the rain at all, besides the normal physical reactions of becoming soaked due to a bunch of water. "But you are wearing now. Where did you buy from?" After a brief pause, she holds up a hand and stares intently at her palm while a pool of water forms in it. "Oh. I am wet."

Callista: *mutters to herself* Knew I should've used Miracle Eye first... *shifts back to her true form via a cloud of binary* It's alright, tough guy. It's just me.

"Oh..uhh, OK." Clyve looks back and forth between the soaking-wet person and Callista. "Rrreal Callista, right? I'm uh, I got a bit of a problem with color energy is all...last time Velcy came out I was nearly kicked outta the PFL..."

'Callista' looks around, as if she forgot where Clyve was. "Did somewane see my neme?"

Callista: So I've heard. Anyway, I got word through the grapevine that someone out there was pretending to be me, soooo... *idly examines a bottle of Livewire*

'Callista' finally looks at real Callista finally. "Oh...a mirror!" She takes a few steps closer, and tugs at some of her hair, which is still soaking wet. "...Waterless mere roar? Still need new cleethong..."

*Callista's response is to level the bottle of Livewire at her lookalike and twist it open, subjecting her to what is essentially a glorified Thunderbolt attack.*

"AAAH!" The lookalike pretty much takes the lightning to the face, in a distinctly cartoonish fashion, and winds up dry but black-charred with "I just got electrocuted" spiky hair. She shakes the soot off to reveal an angry expression. "You're nice very not." She produces an open 2-liter of Crystal Pepsi and points the open end in Callista's general direction. With a choonk noise for each, it fires three actual crystals which, on landing or hitting something, expand out into big spiky ice crystals.

Clyve, meanwhile, decides to Run Away from this particular confrontation.

Callista: I'm not very nice? You're the one trying to be me!

*Callista drops to the ground to let the crystals fly past her. A 20-ounce bottle of A&W root beer slips out of her bag and rolls onto the ground, unnoticed.*

"I connat try to be you, I'm being busy too me!" the strange imposter protests, losing the current bottle and producing a can of SURGE, starting to shake it. "Cally...sta!" (She pronounces it like 'Cal' as in calorie, 'E' as in the letter, an awkward pause, and then 'stah'). The last syllable is punctuated by popping the tab, which produces a kind of fountain of lightning going up from the opening and falling in a circle around here. The effect doesn't go far enough out to reach real Callista.
