((In that particular case, yes you can do so. The whole City of Light is a farm for Raleigh and his agents so they don't mind if you pull something like this off. Similarly, if you bet and lose years of your life but then go out and find a way to get more they will let you wager those again. *lets go of Dirge's tail and jumps back a few meters* You were the seed, I was the gardener. My only regret is that I didn't use the right kind of fertilizer.

*Injury analysis: the wound in Zapana's side where she was stabbed by Dirge's tail is mildly serious, though if the way she's more or less ignoring it is any indication, she doesn't look too bothered by it. Strangely her blood is a much darker shade of red, almost black, and is hissing a little on contact with open air.*

"Alright!" Whyte crushes this one eagerly, and then takes a second to look at her phone--specifically the clock on it. "This is good enough...I might be late if I wait any longer." She turns to leave, in a little bit of a hurry.

Catgirl: Come again.

Dirge: So you have a similar trick to your blood like grandma's? *Pulls her tail close to look and see if it is being dissolved.*

*Dirge should see that while the blood is much hotter to the touch than is standard, it in itself won't do much more than leave faint grooves in the armor protecting the tail.*

Dirge: Good to know. *Takes to the air spinning about with her wings protecting her and projecting energy about her form heading for Zapana like a torpedo.*

*Quickly discerning that Dirge's attack would be enough to harm her, Zapana stomps the ground once with her foot. A brief gout of flame spikes her off the ground, tripling her jump height in her attempt to get out of the way.*

*Misses Zapana but makes it through the gout of fire fine thanks to her spin and the energy whirl around it. After a moment lands on her feet and turns to face Zapana.* Dirge: Nicely done.

Arigatou. *lands safely* You fight a wind specialist often enough, you take whatever advantages you can get. Hyah!

*Zapana throws her hands outward. A wall of fire erupts from the ground, obscuring her from sight.*

*Dirge looks around to see where Zapana is even as she starts to charge up energy through her sword.*

*The fire wall seems to glow, waver, expand, crackle... become more noxious? All of the above? The level of heat in the arena steadily begins rising, interfering with the sense of touch and taste. The scent of the flames fouls up the sinuses. All that can be heard is the sound of burning, and all that can be seen is the sight of burning.*

*For the lack of a better expression, just what in blazes is Zapana playing at?*

Dirge: Hm. *Unleashes a massive burst of demonic energy in an attempt to snuff out the flames.*

*The flames are blown apart, dispersing... though the quick rate at which Dirge's senses return is a bit bothersome. Was that truly fire she was dealing with, or---*

*Zapana abruptly drops out of hyper at Dirge's 1:00, an open hand already aimed at her face. From the looks of things, she aims to deliver the mother of all %^*@$-slaps with a portion of her full strength backing her up.*
