"Hmmhmm.." Whatevr examines Nate with sharp-toothed grin on her muzzle. "You're new, aren't you? Maybe.." She produces a stack of sticky notes and a pen from, well, apparently out of the air, and jots something down on the top one. "I should give you the good old usual Muffinville welcome..here!" She removes the note and attempts to stick it to Nate's forehead with her thumb; if this is successful, it only remains for a second before disappearing in a quick puff of smoke.

Wait wat- *Watches as the sticky note is stuck to his head and disappears.* Huh? What does that do?

"Well, I'm a particular kind of mage who casts magic through words," explains the werewolf. "Have I introduced myself to you yet? My name is Whatevr. Anyway, that was a spell." Meanwhile, Nate's hair starts to grow out, and he gets an odd sense of sinking down, things around him getting taller while the ground gets closer. He now hears and feels a sort of pop from first his right, then his left ear, as each near-instantaneously turns into a large, fuzzy triangle of fur the same color as his hair, twitching around much closer to the top corners of his head than before.

*feels his new furry ears* O-Oh... *twitches ears* This is...so weird....

She shrugs. "Love it or hate it, people get used to this sort of thing after a while. Me, I live for it. But relish the novelty anyway, you don't get to do that too many times."

Meantime, Nate's loss of height progresses into a little bit of more general shrinking, his stomach particularly gaining a slight inward curve on the sides, and his shoulders and overall frame narrowing a little bit. It becomes increasingly clear that his clothes are shifting sizes with him, at least, although his pants seem much puffier than before near the top and tighter along the rest of the legs, and his shirt just seems tighter in general. By now his hair has flowed out over his shoulders and isn't even slowing down yet. His skin itches for a second or two as any body or facial hair he has visibly retracts back inside, not completely vanishing but becoming far shorter and less visible than before. Also, Nate's vocal range, unlike the rest of him, begins a steady ascent.

*says nothing as the changes begin to overwhelm him...or perhaps her now* Ahhh....what's happening to me....

"Well, if you don't already know the answer...it'll clear itself up soon enough."

He finally stops shrinking a little under five feet (including the ears), and his hair, which now seems very well-groomed with a silky sheen, stops abruptly at hip-height. Nate can feel his hips expanding back out slightly while his underwear rapidly shrinks, and then his pants audibly tear at the thighs, the lower parts tightening and softening into a pair of pink-and-purple striped leggings while the rest spreads out into a sky-blue pleated skirt and a frilly underskirt beneath that.
A gentle tug between his legs and then another pull from the underwear up against an unfamiliar flatness is all the notice Nate gets of a sudden change of pronoun, and then, just as quickly as the ears, a slim, blonde-furred tail shoots out from the base of her spine. Her voice stops off at a squeaky high tone as her shirt changes into a kind of dressy white vest, a blue mini-cape-thing held on to her neck by a bright blue ribbon, and a yellow tie. Finally, her chest pushes out all at once into a bra that certainly wasn't there before, growing into a sizable pair of breasts.

'Nate' the catgirl will find she's gained some other accessories somewhere along the way: Little white gloves, a gold-ring-based decoration near the end of her tail, a checkered-pink ribbon on her head. She may find herself acting a bit more energetic and excitable than before.

Seeing the end of the change, Whatevr rubs her hands. "Finally, now I can do this." And then barks loudly, in a very good imitation of an ordinary wolf.

((I tend to like slow changes, so I hope I didn't go too slowly for you here. Ignore the picture's watch and books and whatever those necklace-things on the blue ribbon are supposed to be.))

"Nyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyaaaa!" Nate hair sticks up on end as she starts to flail around all panicky. She runs around in circles till she trips and falls over. "Ow.."

[AmbushCat]

*Ambush stays silent throughout the proceedings, then sniggers at the resulting scene.*

And that's the tail end of things.

Nate pouted. "That was so mean!"

Whatevr seems about as amused as Ambush. She puts her hands palm-up as if weighing a pair of objects on them. "Nice and mean are illusions; the only reality is bored and not-bored. And that was entertaining." Putting her arms back down, she moves a bit closer; as a werewolf she stands a good foot or more over the small catgirl. "Maybe I should do it again..."

[Abillioncats]

Her eyes got big and wide as her new cat ears drooped. "Nuuuuuuuuuu don't do it! Nyaaaa..."

Whatevr's ears droop slightly. "I'm really sure I didn't alter your mind all that much. If this is an act it's a pretty good one, though." She pats the catgirl on the head a couple of times.

She purrs lightly as she's pat on the head. "Mmmm...I've always been very in tune with my feline side." =3

[AmbushCat]

*A radio antenna pops out the top of Ambush's head. Faint music can be heard from his whiskers.*

I can tell. My skull's picking up the BGM from "That Darn Cat".
