The Eevee-girl nods and tries to do so for several seconds. After a while she frowns slightly. "Uhh, it's...it looks like it's having a seizure. Is that normal?"

*Amber's Liepard snorts back laughter. The others ignore it in favor of the soft glow---almost completely obscured by the ambient sunlight---that is currently settled around Whyte's forehead.*

That's perfectly normal; it means that you're on the right track. As long as you've still got it, see if you can envision it moving down to about... the middle of the outline.

Whyte attempts this, and gets a look on her face that suggests it's almost physically difficult, but after a while she nods and says, "Okay, there," with a touch of audible frustration.

*The glow has spread to the rest of Whyte's body by now. Liepard shifts its location so that it's more or less in front of her.*

*encouragingly* Good; you're almost there, don't worry. All that's left is to steer it back up to the outline's head and let it go.

She takes a deep breath first, gathering her patience to go again. It should be noted that something about her particular spot of green has it trying to roll back to wherever it just was any time it gets pushed somewhere, even going around the pushing force when it can. Like trying to push a bowling ball uphill with a pool stick. At any rate, with some effort she eventually manages to get it back, and then releases it.

*The glow collects again at Whyte's forehead. An energy bolt of the same color erupts from there and strikes Liepard from above; again, the dark-type shrugs it off. As soon as the bolt is fired, the glow fades.*

There. You can open your eyes now.

Whyte's eyes* pop open and she looks around excitedly. "Whoa, did I do something?"

Sure did. *gestures at Liepard* It'll take practice and patience to perfect it using that method, but Stored Power is a go.

*As with the shot that Ida fired at Liepard earlier, the ground around him is visibly disturbed: the tips of the grass blades incinerated, leaving a vague greenish-black mini-crater behind; little thin vapors of smoke and little bits of dust are still in the air.*

She inspects the results carefully, and then without any real warning starts jumping and fistpumping excitedly. "Yess! Great! Oh, I could hug you right now but I'm trying to retrain myself to respect people's personal space!"

*wryly* Smart girl. Glad I have nothing to fear.

Once she calms down a bit, Whyte says, "Okay, yeah. I should be able to get to where I can use that in a fight with some practice. If I use double team a few times first I might even be able to keep from getting hit long enough to use it as-is. Uh, I know a few other stat-boosting moves that should make it stronger, but you said you could help me learn Work Up, too?"

*Amber gives Liepard a few pats, then recalls the purring Pokémon.*

Sure can. *takes a deep breath* Now I'm not going to delve into the reasons for this, since I have an inkling of it already, but it's my understanding that you know Frustration, correct?

Whyte nods. "Yeah. When I was a normal Eevee, I overheard people say I used it like I had somehow negative friendship."
