The Eevee-gal nods and starts walking in the direction of the restaurant. Her gait seems relaxed despite being fairly fast.

*Swift has no problems keeping up. The whole time, he keeps an eye on the goings-on around him in case anything happens, but it doesn't look like there are any potential accidents in sight for now.*

It doesn't take them very long to reach the place, called "McBerry's" in presumably an effort to be clever. It is an unusually tall building with an arrangement of doors from almost as tall as the building's roof on the right to a little pet door on the far left, presumably to accommodate the various sizes pokemon can be. Whyte begins to stop near the human-sized door of the place, before catching sight a Giratina inside. She stops in her tracks, blanching visibly. "Err...w-well, it doesn't look like they're open! L-let's try another one," she says quickly, trying but failing to sound calm and cheerful about it, and starts to make a sharp left turn.

Swift: *shakes his head, but turns to keep pace with her* --You and that Giratina are both transparent, for entirely different reasons.--

Whyte picks up her pace for a few steps, until the restaurant front (and the big ghost-dragon) is out of her line of vision. She seems to calm down somewhat after that, but still has the aftershock of an unexpected fight-or-flight response. She slows to a halt and leans back against a wall. "S-sorry Swift," she says, "I uh...I have an irrational fear of Giratina. I mean, I know why and I know it's stupid, that one isn't the one I'm actually afraid of, but.."

Swift: *keeps its cool* --Because of its size, the type mismatch, or something bigger?--

"Eeh, definitely something bigger. I, mentioned to you once I had been cursed to be an Eevee for a long time? A Giratina, err, the Giratina from my world did that...for very good reasons, but, well, it hurt. A lot. And whenever I was stuck in a pokeball it hurt...less, but for much longer periods of time. Usually it was pitch black, nothing to look at to distract me from the pain...but occasionally it would show up, floating in that void. It never said anything to me, but it was almost like it was taunting me or something..."

Swift: --Ah. Say no more.--

Whyte nods. "Thanks. I really hoped I'd be over it after I turned humanoid again for some reason, but nope." The Umbreon should be able to see from its vantage the pokemon in question leaving via some kind of dark-warp (presumably back to its own dimension or something).

Swift: *silently notes Giratina's departure* --I can understand that, sort of.--

Sufficiently calmed down, the Eevee-girl gets off of the wall and kind of halfway looks toward the restaurant again. "I feel really silly acting like this, but uh, is he gone?"

Swift: --Yeah. To his 'verse-of-call or to the Distortion World, I'm not sure which.--

"Phew. Well, I guess we can go in, then." She turns and goes to head inside, using the "human-sized" door and holding it open for the Umbreon.

*Swift accepts the offer and walks on in, surveying the interior. Those well-versed in music (or at the very least in Weird Al) can hear him humming "Polkamon" under his breath.*

It seems to be a pretty lively place; even the employees seem cheerful by a fast food joint's standards. There's a varied collection of people and pokemon around, though most of the non-part-pokemon people seem to be with specific pokemon. There's a line to get food and then tables where people seat themselves. A man who looks to be part Mightyena waves at Whyte from an otherwise empty table, and she goes over to him.
"Oi Whyte," he says, in a very rough, low, British-accented voice, "How are things in the uber tier?"
"Preeetty difficult," she says.
"I'll catch up to yeh pretty soon, hear?" he says, and then leans over a bit. "Hey, who's your friend there?"
