The Eevee nods; the trainer looks less angry and more calm. "Hum, well I wouldn't think he'd wanta be caught now. But I was under the impression it was sort of a..hm..test of worthiness kinda thing. You know, like if you're not really good enough you won't be able to catch 'em." The Medicham, whose more grievous wounds appear to be largely healing themselves, turns slightly toward the trainer and nods in agreement. "You know, like a weapon that won't let anyone unworthy wield it..but..a bit more affectionate after. And ta that end, the fight has rules and all. Like not jumpin' in the middle of it."
The Eevee floats back to the ground, and sits down, turning toward the Medicham. It then starts 'talking' again: "⌈∵⌬⊐ ↯⊨⊨ ⋈⌉⌈⌘ ⍁∵↯⊓⋈⊨⊐ ⊨⊐⌘⌬⊓ ⋈⊨↯⌉.."
The trainer watches with mild confusion as the Medicham nods, seemingly understanding what's being said, though whatever information is being conveyed clearly perplexes it a little bit.

Swift: --Perhaps, and in most situations that would probably be the case. Something about a legend in Sinnoh, or something or other...-- *shrug; sits* --Thing that got me was that I had a little chat with him earlier, and he doesn't seem too thrilled with trainers in general. So, I acted without orders and decided to butt in.-- *closes his eyes, bowing his head for a moment* --I apologize for that.--

"Eeeeh...may have saved my friends from some more pain anyway. You know, Rooster here is the toughest of the bunch, and he didn't break a sweat nearly takin' 'im down the first time. But at first I thought you were with some other trainer tryin' to catch 'im first, is why I was mad. Rules and all..."
The Eevee finishes talking, and the Medicham goes and finds the quick ball thrown earlier, holding it up toward the trainer. "..What is it?" The Pokemon makes some gestures, pointing to the pokeball and then the Eevee, and then mock-punching itself in the side. The trainer scratches his head for a moment, working out what's being said. "..Hurts 'im? They ain't supposed to do that..just the opposite, as I understand." It nods, and gives an arms-up gesture to say it doesn't get it either.

Swift: *sigh* --Can't say I understand it myself... I sort of wish I did.--

*A Mismagius phases into being next to him. Quickly taking in the situation, she turns to the Umbreon and chatters in its own language. Swift winces, then replies to it at length while gesturing at the Eevee, the Medicham, and the trainer. Mismagius rolls its eyes, but nods its head and disappears again.*

Swift: --Aaaand my trainer's trying to find me.-- *shakes his head* --Great.--

"That's all right, I won't..hm?" The trainer pauses at the sound of thunder, and looks up at the sky. "Oooh, shoot. That looks like color rain on the way, don't it?" The clouds gathering off in the direction he's looking do indeed look a little too colorful; the Eevee doesn't seem particularly concerned by this, though it does look that way. "Well, I think we all better find some shelter. You're new here, right?" he says, looking at the Eevee, which hesitantly nods. "I won't ask you ta come with me, since I've hardly earned your trust, but when the rain looks like that, get under shelter right away. I'm leaving." He withdraws the Medicham and hurries into the nearest building, some kind of shop.
"⋈↯⌉⊨ ⊓⋈ ⊨∵ ⊓⌉⊐ ⌈⌘⊓⋄ ∵⋈⍁⌘ ⍁⌬⋄⌈?" says the Eevee, looking up at the approaching clouds with some mild confusion.

((I like to think that Muffinville has a healthy population of males who understand how the place works, and are actually savvy enough to avoid getting caught up in most of the transformative mayhem.))

Swift: --Let's just say you might end up turning into something you won't like if you stay out here! Trust me on this!-- *whirls around in the direction opposite of the clouds, preparing himself to run* --Either come with me or not, but either way you'd better skedaddle, quickly!--

The Eevee takes a second or two to consider before going up to the Umbreon, apparently deciding to follow him.

*After waiting an extra second or two, Swift takes off running. His destination seems to be a small office building down the street. Even from a distance, the lack of illumination around it suggests that its owners are out on vacation.*

Despite being smaller, the Eevee moves quickly enough to keep up with Swift. The rain starts with a light sprinkling, most of it focused behind them, but with a few tiny drops close enough to be a slight risk.

*With some application of Psychic, the office's door unlocks and opens up a bit. There's still some distance between them and the building, but that's being eaten up quickly.*

Behind the pair of pokemon, the rain begins in earnest, but the area in front of them remains largely clear; any spectators would swear the heavier part of the rain was actively following them.
