Callista: *forehead vein twitching; switches to telepathy* --Let's get a few things straight. #1, if a person's throat is sore, don't ask them to talk. It does nothing for them. #2, like I just said, my brain hiccuped while I was yakking up my stomach.--

And that "hiccup" turned me into a... vampire baseball player, or whatever the hell this is?

Callista: --You just look like one. You aren't one specifically.-- *reclaims the mirror; coughs* --Now, mind reversing that magic that's pinning me? I want to remove this mask, and I'd rather not be staring up your shorts the whole time.--

Fine, but you're changing me back right afterward. *Circe snaps her fingers and undoes the spell, allowing Callista to move again.*

Callista: *stands up, dusting herself off* --Or, you could let it wear off naturally in a couple days. Consider it my bill for you slapping me.-- *removes the mask, reducing it back to the binary from which it spawned*

Oh, no. I am not staying like this for "a couple days". If you won't change me back, I can always just do it myself.

Callista: --Look, I can understand you wrecking my throat to cut down my energy levels. That much I can let slide.-- *glares down at Circe* --Slapping me? Not so much. If you're not willing to put up with a simple transformation, I'll just find some other means of extracting payment from you. Trust me when I say you don't want that.--

*The mischievous glint that appears in her eyes as she finishes speaking is impossible to miss.*

... *Circe sighs.* Fine, I'll do it... But can I at least put on a different outfit?

*Callista remains silent for a few moments, probably having a mental conversation with Kaoru. After a bit, she heaves a mental sigh of her own.*

Callista: *disappointed* --Baseball uniform's not doing it for you, huh? Alright, you can swap it for something else.--

What's with the tone? Did you honestly think I'd like this or something?

Callista: --No. Just wasn't expecting your request this soon.--

*The sound of a hand meeting a face can be heard over the telepathic link as Kaoru facepalms.*

I'm not sure you know me very well, then. *Circe transformers her clothes into her usual "young" outfit and starts to walk back to the restaurant.*

Callista: *follows along* --You're probably right. And I don't think I know you well enough to figure out why you went out of your way just to try and calm me down, either. I mean, it's not like it's that far out of line for me, is it?--
