Orvile gives a squawking kind of laugh.

"Was I ever that easily impressed? But, you're a natural. Many ice practitioners can only manage a frozen sludge on their first try. A solid cube is most impressive."

As Yuki repeats the spell, another cube forms, this one bigger than the first!

She gives Orville a pouty kind of look at first, but that doesn't last very long before it gives way to a small smile.

"A... nat ture all?" She ponders the word for a moment. "Ah! You mean... good!" She smiles when she makes that connection.

She proceeds to look down at her new, larger ice cube with pride. Eventually she points to it and gives her teacher an inquisitive look and a smile. "Good, too?"

Orville gives another nod

"Very very good. But, let's try other elements and see how you fare. Do the beginner's activation key again, but say 'Lux' instead of 'Gelo.'"

She nods and takes a small breath... and exhales. "Practe Bigi Nar..." She pauses a moment much how she did the with previous word.

"Lux!" She trains her eyes on her wand to observe the result of her incantation...

The end of the wand glows a soft gentle blue light as she finishes the incantation.

"So, you are modestly competant with light magic. Very good. Now, do it again, but with 'Vente' at the end. And dear, don't be afraid to flourish the wand as you cast magic. Some spells require certain movements, so best to get into the habit now."

She frowns a bit at the title of 'dear'. "Dear...?"

She doesn't linger on it too long, though, and moves on to the next spell. "Practe Bigi Nar..." There's less of a pause this time and she adds a little flourish of the wand as she says the words.

"Vente!" Again she looks to her wand for any signs of something she might have caused. With each spell, she seems to appear more and more confident. This confidence is reflected in the way she chants the spells and incantations.

As she recites the spell, a chilly gust of wind blows across the roof!

"Modest at wind magic too I see. Now, let's try something different..."

He takes out a stone and places it on the ground.

"Again, but end with pointing the wand at the stone and saying 'Contero'"

Once again, she does as he says, shutting her eyes and focusing her energy into the small wand in her hands. She waits a moment before she begins this time, but just like she had each time before, she begins with, "Practe Bigi Nar..."

"Contero!" That word might have come out just a bit more slurred than she had hoped, but at least she sounded spirited when it emerged from her mouth. She said it quickly, confidently; she was getting used to this, it seemed.

She finishes by pointing the wand at the rock as instructed, a faint pink on her cheeks as she realizes her fumble with the pronunciation. Still, she looks more excited than embarrassed as she waits for her incantation to have an effect...

The moment she points her wand at the rock, some of it seems to crumble away! However, the majority of the stone remains.

"So, Earth is not your strong suit it seems. Let us try water. Again, but with 'Fluere.'" Orville says.

She nods and gives a small smile. "Water... rike ice, right? I... might be good with, too." She takes a breath and grips her wand tightly, repeating the incantation she had used so many times before followed by...

"Fluere!"

As she completes the incantation, a stream of water is emitted from the tip of her want, pooling on the ground.

"Water too eh? That gives us enough to start practicing with I think. You have natural talent, likely that Yama's doing. So we should start on the first, most basic spell. Saggita Magica, or Magic Arrows."
