Over the last several weeks, people may have noticed an unusual amount of Niflheim Industry androids and gynoids out and about in Muffinville. They would stand in one place for a few second,s their eyes glazing over before wandering off. Occasionally, one's face may light up with purpose afterwards and rush off in a specific direction. When asked what they were doing, they would say that they were 'getting readings,' and say noting more. After a short while, they stopped showing up.

Over the past few days, people may have noticed trucks driving up and down one of the mountains near Muffinville. Said trucks were large and slow, obviously carrying heavy cargo. The drivers were more Niflheim synthetic life forms, and they would quickly deflect any questions about what they were doing. Any climbers or hikers who got too close to the summit would be stopped by more Niflheim gynoids who would explain that they were carrying out experiments near the summit and that the public were to be kept away for their own safety.

On another normal day in Muffinville, those with the powers or equipment to sense such a thing would detect that some kind of energy was being drawn to the mountain's summit. Hikers and climbers were being dealt with before even reaching the mountain, warded off by armed Niflheim androids. Other androids with flying upgrades circle the mountains, also armed.

What could they be up to?

Eternal Winter, what are we doing up here exactly? *Raleigh in the robot form he had been given asks to thin air as she starts to hike up the mountain to see if there is anything she needs to do.*

Ryu scratches her head a bit as she wonders what she was doing as well. Perhaps she should have paid more attention.

Raleigh is held up by two gynoids wielding rifles. She instantly recognizes their series numbers (#30023498 and #43098213) as well as their informal designations (Molly and Sophie)

"Halt #90876381! What are you doing here? You're not designated to be part of this."

Ryu scratches her head a bit as she wonders what she was doing as well. Perhaps she should have paid more attention.

A limo drives past Ryu, then stops! Fimbulvetr emerges and looks Ryu over.

"Melee model right? Good timing, I need your help. Get in."

Fimbulvetr moves over to let Ryu sit down.

"Nothing much, just need you to pull a switch when we get to the mountaintop."

The limo drives up the winding mountain road, the various checkpoints, both visible and concealed letting it pass.

"That sounds simple enough." She said, thinking about how this was going to be such an awesomely easy assignment~

The clouds part, a massive city-sized spaceship descending from out of the sky above the mountains. Innumerable hatches open from the sides, as troop transport ships, fighters, and bombers swarm out... beginning to land, scan, and search for the specific location of this disturbance.

Presiding over it all, Smash Daisaku flies about on his rocket jet pack. Yelling orders to the robots.

Carmilla doesn't question the cargo. But she does question the various androids and gynoids such things as how they're run, what parts they're from, and who made them. Though at about the tenth truck Carmilla was suspicious, "Wonder what's going on."

A few of the CTC's ubiquitous spheroid drones start investigating the area, approaching as close to the mountain as permitted, taking scans and images of the area, and asking any androids that seem willing to talk questions about their efforts and the nature of their equipment.

"That sounds simple enough." She said, thinking about how this was going to be such an awesomely easy assignment~

Fimbulvetr nods as a phone on the table rings. She picks it up and listens.

"I see... keep an eye on them. If they get hostile, launch drop pods through a portal. As for the CTC, be polite and answer their questions as best you can without giving out classified information."

The scanners would find that energy is being gathered from all over Muffinville, drawn towards the summit of the mountain!

From what they gather, it seems that this isn't a company pursuit, but more a personal project of Fimbulvetr's. A sort of 'Do it for the science, because why not?' deal.

Smash points to the summit! "AHAH! There is the source of our search!" He spirals through the air on his jetpack... him and his forces converging on the summit!

The drones are permitted to get close to the mountain, but any attempts to look at the summit are blocked. The androids let the drones get right up close, smiling at their more primitive counterparts and answering their questions.

The drones, for their part, happily examine the androids closely, taking pictures and making scans! They're such cute and curious little things!

Of course, as it becomes more apparent it's difficult for the drones to get a look at the mountaintop, the CTC tries a few other methods. High up in the stratosphere, loitering Skywatch drones try to get a look at the mountain from above... and even higher up, an ANGEL platform in low-earth orbit trains its high-resolution sensors upon the mountaintop, looking for energy and thermal emissions...
