A Sparring Challenge

[Bigmouthstrikes]

Sara now a knight as well as a brilliant scientist, stood in a beautiful park clearing. She tied a little note to a robotic pigeon of her own invention, and sent it out in search of Dact.

Sure enough, it honed on his location based on her mental projections of him, and landed near his present location squawking, "Dact! Dact! Dact!" until the message was dealt with.

[Knight Errant]

Dact blinks at the metal bird accosting him! "Err... um... yes?" He asks it. Then sees the note... and goes to read it!

[Bigmouthstrikes]

"Meet me in the park." The note read, "I'd like a good man to train with."

It was signed, simply, "S"

[Knight Errant]

Dact hrmms, shrugs and shoos the bird away. "Back to your master with you." He says, going to head for the park!

[Bigmouthstrikes]

When he arrives, he would find Sara waiting for him there, armor gleaming in the sun.

"Heya!" She said brightly, pushing some blonde hair out of her face. "Wanna fight? I've got all of these new abilities, but i haven't had a chance to use them yet."

[Knight Errant]

Dact blinks, then smiles. "Ah! Sara! Yes that sounds lovely..."

[Bigmouthstrikes]

She raised her smile and grinned. "At me then!"

[Raleigh]

I do know your kind are stereotypically honorable and chivalrous but perhaps a referee would be ideal for this all the same. *Forming from a stream of numerical data that had started to flow about in the air off to the side of the two.* Shall I step up and play that role?

[Knight Errant]

Dact glances at Raleigh... then back at Sara. "Yes... I suppose we should set out some rules first, so we dont go in bashing at each other with no set end."

[Bigmouthstrikes]

Sara puffed a bit of hair out of her face. She couldn't seem to stop those bangs from getting her eyes. The gesture was kind of cute, coming from a fully armored knight.

"Alright." She said with a chuckle, "I guess I'm new to this. Uhm...maybe you should set up some guidelines."

[Raleigh]

Shall we set this up similar to a tourney then? A set of competitions between the two of you to test your strength of arms for instance? A bit of jousting, fencing, and the like as it were.

[Knight Errant]

"Sounds fun... what do you think, Sara?"

[Bigmouthstrikes]

Sara cocked an eyebrow. "Sure thing! Haven't handled anything but a sword yet, but I'll be glad to try you."

[Raleigh]

Very well. I will provide anything you two do not have on hand for this. Do both of you have a horse for the jousting or would you prefer to do the sword fighting first since you are more familiar with that Sara?

[Bigmouthstrikes]

She shrugged. "I've been a knight for less than a few hours. I have no idea what I'm more or less familiar with."
