An Invitation to Dinner

[Jello Shot Mischa]

A message is delivered to Lord Bones, through one of his Mail Chibi:

"To Lord Bones, The Gentleman, Queen of the Underworld, and President of the Chibi Express,

You are cordially invited to an evening at Burnt Toast's Crab Shack, for dinner and conversation. I will be waiting there at 6 PM.

[Feng]

Bones stands outside the restaurant, a look of shock and confusion on his face. How in the world did they find out about the whole Queen of the Underworld bit!?!

He is dressed in his usual attire, a forest green suit and top hat along with an emerald green cape. His mustache is trimmed and his monocle polished. He clearly went all out for tonight...

A woman in a military uniform with long silver hair is waiting at the door as Bones arrives, and nods respectfully. "Greetings, Lord Bones. It is a pleasure to meet you in person," she says.

[Feng]

"Likewise, Major Durant," says Bones with a courteous bow. "It is not everyday that I have the pleasure of talking with a member of the CTC."

He opens the door to the restaurant for the Major.

The woman smiles slightly. "My apologies, but the Major is already inside. She felt it best to request a table first, to avoid any delays. I am her aide -- you may call me Elly." She does nod appreciatively as Bones opens the door, and walks through, motioning towards where the major is sitting, looking out over the sea as the sun sets.

[Feng]

"My apologies, Miss Ellie" says Bones as he heads over to the table, taking a seat.

"Ah, you must be Major Durant. Ah, and I see you've found the best seat in the restaurant."

The major turns, and offers Lord Bones a slight smile. "It seems I have..." she murmurs, rising to her feet. "So, Lord Bones... we finally meet in person. I'm glad you accepted my invitation." She motions to the chair opposite her. "Would you care to have a seat?"

[AmbushCat]

Disembodied voice: Hold on a sec. Let me get out of your way.

*Ambush pulls himself out of the chair in question, pausing a few moments to tug one of his hind legs free, then jumps to the ground and saunters off.*

Elly glances at Ambush. "Would you care to join me for some fish, Mr. Ambush?"

[Feng]

"Hey Ambush" says Bones, waving to the cat before taking a seat.

"I recommend trying the soup while you are here. The Gumbo is legendary as is the Bisque."

A Chibi walks up to the table and places some cheese rolls on the table.

Major Durant quirks an eyebrow, but nods. "I will admit, I have not dined here before. Since you seem more familiar with the menu, I shall take your suggestions into account." She smiles, and samples one of the cheese rolls, before ordering some of the soup.

[Feng]

The cheese rolls are heavenly! Crunchy, thin, and cheesey!

"If I were you, I'd choose the shrimp gumbo. Burnt Toast uses the freshest shrimp and the best rice."

[AmbushCat]

Elly glances at Ambush. "Would you care to join me for some fish, Mr. Ambush?"

*Ambush Cat pauses in his sauntering, thinks for a bit, and turns back around.*

Sure. Why not? *climbs onto another chair*

"Hey Ambush" says Bones, waving to the cat before taking a seat.

Hiya, Bones. Long as you're here, have you seen any sign of Eebon's evil twin recently? He played a few jokes on my boss and one of her dimensional counterparts, then disappeared somewhere. I haven't seen him since.

The major nods once again. "Very well," she says, requesting the dish from the waiter when he comes by. "What drink would go well with it?"

[Feng]

The wines are good, as are the beers. The owner imports them from all over the known globe. I myself usually prefer the lemonade however but tonight perhaps a glass of red wine is in order?
