[Raleigh]

*One can find Raleigh out behind his house in one of the various gardens collecting various things. It would seem he might be a tad late this year, though how likely seasons affect a garden he is growing might be debatable, but he is collecting some seeds along with the various fruits and vegetables. As he plods along doing the collection the plants quickly wither and begin to turn the usual brown.* You know I am reminded of this one human lifetime I had where as a child I would play in the corn stalks when they were like this. I think I had a toy sword and would imitate those samurai/ninja fighting in the bamboo from those movies I liked to watch. Always pleasant to be in my second favorite season. *He is humming a jaunty little tune of some sort to himself.* Ah, memo to me, perfect season for teaching the newer students their relevant version of the leaf dance.

[Raleigh]

You know this would probably be faster if I was using a humanoid body. *He crawls up another plant to collect some more vegetables. It would seem he has been doing all this in the form of a spider with only seven eyes.* Oh well, I have to get out of that form every so often or it starts to itch.

*Ellen can be heard pushing her way through the garden. She stops nearby to catch her breath, looking as sour as possible for her; she doesn't seem to have noticed spider-Rayleigh yet. One notes that there's a math book under her arm.*

Ellen: ... ...Why couldn't the intelligence have been split between us at birth? ...Why?

[Raleigh]

Oh, hello Ellen. Something the matter my dear? *Raleigh scurries down the plant and onto the ground before reforming into a body she will recognize. No need to get squished by one of his goddaughters.*

Ellen: Hm? ... *turns to look* ... Oh. Hi, godpapa. I'm just trying to find Elk. *recovers* ... ...And I think I got myself lost.

[Raleigh]

Possibly so if you were aiming to go anywhere else specifically. That or you needed to see me about something and got whisked here by the nature of things. What has Elk done now?

Ellen: ...We were at the Mungojerrie. I was helping him with some homework. *frowns cutely* ...Elk saw a ferret-girl outside and lit out after her. Mom's Mismagius and I took off to bring him back. ...An hour and who-knows-how-many-miles later, here I am. *annoyed sigh* ...Do they make a pill that cures attention deficit disorder?

Yes, actually they do. It was first discovered in 4321 A.D. or 207 A.C. depending on your calendar choice in the x732theta universe. The problem is it somewhat messes with other aspects of brain chemistry much like lithium does for those who take it for manic depression. Those taking it tend to be lethargic and disinterested in most things once they are on it. In general I would not recommend giving him any. Besides, can you really imagine Elk sitting still for long?

Ellen: ... ...You're right. I'll settle for smacking him with a rolled up magazine later. *looks around* ... ...So, what is this place, godpapa?

One of my gardens. I was collecting the fruits of my labors with them, since calling them spoils might not be wise, and was going to put them up. Some of the seeds I had some special uses for that I was also collecting. You ever tried growing a garden?

Ellen: *nods* ...I have a small one behind the house... the size is limited by the patio and swimming pool. There isn't much there, just some lilies and tomato plants.

[Raleigh]

If you ever want a larger one I could set aside some space for you to grow stuff in. So how has your day been so far other than your brother driving you slightly homicidal?

Ellen: *snorts lightly* ..."Slightly"? ... *shakes her head* ...The day's been rather routine, I would say. Even my brother's antics aren't out of place... *looks down at the ground* ...And I think I'd worry if they were.
...About this extra space for a garden. How would I get to it?

I can key a small gate way to open for you to get to a nice little section of one of my plots when you need it. Do you have a watch or something you usually wear? I can key that to act as the portal trigger.
