The Dark Knight Rises: OI VOLVADOS!

[Feng]

As Volvados climbs higher into the mountains, soon piercing the thick clouds that cover the chain from mortal eyes, she'll begin to notice that some flags are actually a dark blue, veering away from the Pilgrim's Path... How strange.

[Knight Errant]

"Hmm..." Guessing as much from the flower... he heads towards the dark blue flags!

[Feng]

Following the new path takes Dact to a tunnel hidden in the side of the mountain. How fortunate too! A storm is on its way!

[Knight Errant]

Volvados quickly ducks into the tunnel as the wind begins howling outside. Humphing as if the inclement wether was a personal insult to her, she turns on her sandled heels, heading deeper in!

[Feng]

Inside the cave Dact finds various water skins hanging on a rack, sacks of potatoes, jerky and fire wood. A sleeping bag lies forlorn in a corner along with various blankets, near an empty fire pit.

While Volvados may be unaware of it, she had found a resting point along the trail, built by the Chibi monks for travelers in case of storms.

[Knight Errant]

Volvados looks at the campsight, then back at the cave entrance... Not being a hard decision, she goes to set a fire and wait out the storm!

[Feng]

The wind howls outside as Volvados gets to work setting up a fire...

As the fire is lit, Volvados may find herself growing hungry. Fortunately there is plenty of food stuffs for her to cook. Mostly vegetables and jerky although there is also a flask of fine Chaijin ale, renowned for being quite powerful stuff.

[Knight Errant]

Volvados gets out a cast iron pot. Filling it with water, a dash of ale... some jerkey and vegetables. Going to cook up a stew over the campfire! Humming a bit as she goes!

[Feng]

The storm howls outside while Dact's evil twin cooks her wicked stew.... of wickedness~!

[Knight Errant]

Volvados has so much fun cooking! Evilly! She nomnoms the stew, then bunkers down in the sleeping bag to... sleep!

[Feng]

Volvados finds it quite easy to slip on off to dreamland, thanks to the nature of Chibi ale. She'll have a warm belly during the entire evening.


::Volvados finds herself, or rather HIMSELF in the middle of the ruins of a burning city, Muffinville to be exact. The palish light of a blood red moon illuminates mountains of skulls beneath her feet and the sky is filled with a cacophony of shrill screams that chill the dark knight to her core.

Suddenly a crimson rain cascades on the city, poisonous vipers at least eight feet in length, which fall to the ground in a thud. They immediately begin to bite their own tails, their body contorting into the shape of an infinity sign...

High above the black smoke collects together to form a symbol, a giant war fan that glistens as an Emerald. Soon the scene fades away until only the fan remains, accompanied by an ominous chant that echoes through the knight's subconscious. To the casual listener it almost sounds like a Buddhist monk chant....

And then SCREAMS!::

As soon as the nightmare concludes Volvados finds herself in the cave. While the wind continues to howl, it appears that the storm is beginning to die down. By lunchtime she will be able to continue her climb.

[Knight Errant]

Volvados wakes from the odd dream! Shivering a moment, before she shakes her head. "Ugh... that... ale must have been stronger than I thought." She looks outside, annoyed that the storm still rages... albeit more calmly. She bunkers down and waits...

[Feng]

By Eleven the winds begin to die down enough for Volvados to continue her climb.

Judging from the look of things, she's already half way up the mountain. If she persists, she should reach the end of the path by evening...

[Knight Errant]

She gets out after taking some of the food and drink with her. Might as well. Stretching her legs. "Ugh... right... lets get this damned climb done with allready." She says, heading out!

[Feng]

The air is cool and crisp as Dact's evil twin exits from the cave. Above the sun lazily hangs in the sky informing Volvados that it will soon be lunchtime. High above, towards the peak of Mount Cauliflower, the villain can make out a faint structure...
