The Dark Knight Rises: OI VOLVADOS!

[Knight Errant]

Volvados is wearing a pair of beach sandals! Blinking and looking down. "Now what is that..." She mutters at the crunching noise.

[Feng]

At her feet Volvados spies a skull! Indeed, the entire valley floor is covered by grimacing skulls that gaze at Volvados with their empty eyes....

How macabre!

[Knight Errant]

"... what a waste of skulls. They would be of much better use in a wall or as ornamentation..." She mutters, continuing onwards!

[Feng]

As she walks through the valley of crunchiness she reaches a pathway marked by a row of flags. A lone hooded figure waits at the entrance...

"You are late..."

[Knight Errant]

Volvados glares at the hooded figure, putting a hand on her hip. "First off, there was no set time for me to get here that I was made aware of. Secondly if there was, you either need to provide better transportation, or be in a place thats more godsdamned accessible."

[Feng]

"If you are done complaining, your first challenge awaits you oh Voluptuous one. In this Valley you may find a rare blue flower known as the mountain tear drop. You are to find such a flower and transport it up to the summit in one piece. Failure to do so will result in your execution."

[Knight Errant]

Volvados waves her hand. "Yeah yeah... try it and I will lose what little patience I have left for you." She glares. "I'll get your damned flower... this better be good, though."

Seemingly done complaining now, she turns and heads towards the valley!

[Feng]

Fortunately for Volvados, the valley is full of blue flowers growing out of the skulls that litter the place...

[Knight Errant]

"... well this is easy." Figuring she might as well pick a good one, she looks around for a large specimen... then uses a knife to pry up the skull from the ground, using it as a macabre flower pot. "There. As intact as you can damn well get." She mutters, before heading back the way she came!

[Feng]

The hooded figure nods as Volvados approaches.

"Very well. Your journey begins up this mountain"

The figure motions to the large chain of mountains behind him.

"I'd hurry if I were you. The winter winds will be arriving soon and, given your attire, you'll surely catch your death if you dawdle."

[Knight Errant]

"Dont worry... I dont want to spend anymore time here than I want to..." She mumbles... pausing. "Do I take the flower with me?"

[Feng]

The figure is gone...

Could it be that he has disappeared mysteriously?

"Yes" says the hooded monk appearing behind Volvados. "Now get going."

[Knight Errant]

"Thanks..." She mutters, heading onwards!

[Feng]

The pathway leads to a narrow pathway that winds its way up the mountains, giant white flags guiding the way for travelers on pilgrimage to the sacred summit of Mt. Kumquat, home to a small shrine dedicated to the mountain spirits. During springtime the Monks who live in a monastery meander their way up the treacherous trail to make offerings of fruit and blood to the spirits to ask for their blessing in the coming year.


However, there are others who lurk in the shadows of the Mountain. An ancient order of Chibi warriors whose name has faded from the memory of most historians...

Sensing ominous backstory, Volvados puts the skull in a pocket of her robes... making the long cold climb... eyes alert.
