Magic (after) School Study Hall

[Miku-chan]

In a lower level of Ralieghs Magic school, one of the study labs door stands slightly ajar. Inside the smell of ozone and singed hair lays fresh in the slow moving air. At a work station near the front, a box of blocks sits scattered to te side from a recent violent release of energy. Near the center, a group of blocks sits nearly complete...except for the few odd ones on the floor. The ones on top however, are still softly glowing...

[Raleigh]

*Raleigh forms from nothing to look over the blocks.* Good, made it here before that tiger. Let's see what went wrong.

[Miku-chan]

*What Raleigh sees mostly are the basic Runic spell blocks for transformation, storage and some glyphs for teleportation. The odd thing being the similar glyphs from transformation and teleportation being used in the same spellword. Someone seems to have either miss read the glyphs or someone with more magical lore has played a rude trick on the caster for this runic spell. Who could be such a prankster if so?*

[Raleigh]

Tch... I'll need to ask Rin if anyone was in here with her. First to probably move the blocks out of this alignment lest someone else activate them and then look for clues... or do the second part while doing the first and then proceed further. *He walks over to the blocks and begins to look them over for traces of who might have touched them recently.*

[Miku-chan]

As Raleigh looks over the rune blocks, he will see the slight manipulations used to alter the designs on the tiles. The subtle workings are well hidden under cross diminutional waves and multiple magic types. Though it is rooted in a touch of...Phigouhs

[Raleigh]

This won't do. *He begins to clear away the obscuring magics while also returning the runes to their neutral state so they won't affect anyone else.* So phigouhs eh? Let's see who do I know that uses that?

[Miku-chan]

The taint left behind has multiple false threads of Phigouhs, but the decay rate is similar to stale magics left unused by the castor. Though one think these type of spell threads to be long gone, judging by the decay and age of them. Still, if any one could stabilize old Magics, they would need easy acces to such casters. Vesper or Mara come to mind, but wasn't Mara suppose to be Hel's ambasitor to this relm while culling the dead from the gate towards Neifelm?

[Raleigh]

Tch... let us see if Mara knows anything about this. *A summoning circle appears and begins to glow while Raleigh attempts to summon the demon.*

[Miku-chan]

A bathtub full of bubbles and one blond haired demoness appears in the circle, with the throaty blues tune of smoke gets in your eyes coming from the demoness within...

"♪yet today this demons gonna stay...."notices the change in the air and opens her eyes..."slim coots and balgraths...Raleigh, could nt you wait at least til I was done !? If there is a problem with the gate, put the souls on hold..." the wet demoness growls

Does this make the third or fourth time I've done this? I do apologize Mara but its not about the souls at the moment. Someone played a bit of a trick on one of my students and I was wondering if you might recognize the signature.

[Miku-chan]

* Mara climbs out of her tub, wearing nothing but soap bubbles for the moment..."A prank on one of your students? Who would..." she trails off as she remembers something..."You know, that would explain something's recently. Tell me, is this student your teaching a bad luck avatar?" she asks as she magics up a classic sexy school girl outfit before looking at the rune tiles on the table...

Judging by what seems to happen around her I would say that is a safe assumption. I've been considering giving her one of the various permanent luck enhancements I have but would prefer not to resort to such. After all it would be bad form for a creature like me who not only denies the existence of Luck, despite having met her repeatedly, but pretty much represents concepts that fly in the face of such an ideology to be handing out luck charms.

Mara snickers at that..."True enough, but we of Neilfelm had much the same problem when you first dropped in on Lady Hel. But it was a great snow ball fight, are we going to do that again soon? I know the boss is getting restless again." she looks over the area closely before ducking under a nearby desk to pull up a dark feather and a grey cat hair..."I should have known that one would try something. Raleigh, you might want to try teaching this student about Foisting and storing their karma in vessels real quick because they have drawn the attention of a ill fate demon who really shouldn't be here." she says, a look of anger glowing in her eyes as her markings flare slightly...

Those things look familiar. Where have I seen those before?

[Miku-chan]

Holding up the two items, Mara explains..." Well, this bit of greying fur belongs to welsper, a variant of the demon vesper you know his scheme to invade the world tree and his punishment created that divergence...crap, if he is here, that means the doublets system is in danger of shut down, especially if wisp came with him. No wonder he is after your student, their emerging bad luck karma would be all he would need to cripple the system or outright shut them down!" Mara starts to pull out a cd and makes as if she were trying to head out..."This is not good, Hel will have my arse in a pain belt for sure..."
