A portal, or is it?

Next time make it so your gate is formed of something living. It gets peoples attention quickly. Keep in mind you want to avoid a pure flesh gate as they tend to think that means something evil is at work over there. Perhaps a set of hummingbirds in a door shaped formation?

[Albedo]

"Sounds hard," Al admits, "Why not condense it to gun form?"

[Lanzerus]

Lanzerus again furiously scribbles. "Living...door." he turns turns to Al. " Because a certain source of outdated engine power *cough* steam *cough* had rights over a portal-gun."

[Raleigh]

Hahahaha, ahh that was a good one.

[Lanzerus]

Lanzerus laughs "I thought it was a good one as well."

[Albedo]

"Is that really why?"

[Lanzerus]

Lanzerus Nods. Suddenly the room shrinks pushing the three of them withing arms length of each other before expanding outward. The ceiling climbs higher, the doors replaced with plain open archways, the wooden floor gets covered by fancy woven rugs, silk probably more Arabian in making. The walls go from the dark green to white, and the lights replaced with torches. " and that is the Inactivity for you."

"Pretty neat." Albedo admits honestly.

[Lanzerus]

"Extremely neat." He says. "Except when the Inactivity decides to play interior decorator in the room you were currently sleeping in. Twice now I have woken up to learn that I was in what appeared to be a medieval dungeon chamber."

Those can be comfortable places to sleep on occasions. I nap pretty well on recently used torture devices myself. Sleeping on a still occupied iron maiden for instance is always relaxing.

"So this place likes to play tricks on you?"
