Somewhere in Chibi Town

[Blaze]

Blaze squats down to stare at the Chibi.

"is that a lie?"

She watches carefully for any hint of a lie.

[Feng]

"No mam!" says the Chibi, showing no sign of falsehood on his face. "I've been having the worst kind of luck since I moved here. I get turned down for the job with the Chibiwanbanshu, I catch my girlfriend cheating with a Puffin blacksmith and now I've received word that my dear mother broke her leg while on pilgrimage to the shrine of the Burning One. Now I'm stuck here working this deadbeat job while awaiting word from the clinic to see if the shaman who runs it will hire me on as his apprentice."

*he sighs*

"So please, I don't mean to trouble you mam, yet if you don't help a poor chibi out, I'll be up to my neck with trouble myself."

[Blaze]

Blaze sighs and opens the briefcase, counting out 10,000 HL.

"Here. I'll take everything."

[Feng]

"Whoa," says the Chibi shocked by Blaze's generous gesture. "The sample's free of charge! I couldn't possibly accept all that cash for one measly tail."

[Blaze]

Blaze shrugs.

"Then don't. Just take the money."

[Feng]

"I'm afraid I can't. It wouldn't be right to take the cash for practically nothing. At least allow me to help you out in return."

[Blaze]

Blaze grins.

"That's what I like to hear. I'm looking for a shaman. Hangs out in the Penguin sector."

[Feng]

"A shaman you say? I know of such a Chibi as he is a well respected member of our community. If you will allow me, I will guide you there without much hassle."

[Blaze]

Blaze nods.

"Sounds good. Let's go."

[Feng]

"Very well," says the Chibi. "Stay close to me. This area can be very a risky place to non-chibi. Some people even say the guardians themselves haunt these very halls. However you don't seem like the type to believe such stories, am I right Miss Blaze?"

[Blaze]

Blaze laughs.

"It's my job to believe them."

She then blinks.

"... how do you know my name?"

[Feng]

"Word travels fast in the web" my dear, says the Chibi. "Shall we get going then? If we don't hurry, our Shaman friend will have already closed shop for the night." ^_^

[Blaze]

Blaze looks at the Chibi sceptically before nodding.

"Lead the way."

[Feng]

*Grabbing Blaze by the hand, the Chibi leads the young girl through a twisty maze of streets and hallways, occasionally passing wandering chibi browsing the stalls of the marketplaces or praying at the various shrines.*

"So, tell me Miss Blaze," says the vendor as he leads her down another passageway. "What business sends you here anyways? Its not everyday we get humans down here to seek out our shamans. Are you on some sort of vision quest?"

Blaze yelps as she is dragged! Her eyes constantly scan the market for potential thieves.

"I'm here on a job."
