The Mungojerrie: Rolling On (Part 2)

Callista: Thanks. I'm glad you do. For gamers of... well, pretty much all ages.

[Marky]

Sam giggles a little and nods. "Yeah~." She says, before glancing around, humming a little.

[AmbushCat]

*There's a smattering of NPCs around the eating area, chatting with each other quietly about various topics. Several of Circe's maids are walking around, making sure everything is clean and that the customers have everything they need. The Cure's "Pictures Of You" can be heard playing over the speakers. Several NPCs have entered the arcade over the course of Calli and Sam's conversation; one is playing Tempest, while the other is trying his masochistic hand at "I Wanna Be The Guy".*

Sam blinkblinks and stares over in the direction of the guy playing "I Wanna Be The Guy."

[AmbushCat]

Callista: *notices the stare; turns to see what she's looking at* Ah. I've always felt sorry for anyone who tries to play that game.

[Marky]

Sam blinks a little. "Why's that, nya~?"

[AmbushCat]

Callista: Don't know if you've ever heard of it or not, but the game's insanely hard. It takes everything you know about common platformer pratfalls and ups them a few notches.

[Marky]

Sam blinkblinks. "Jeez...definitely wouldn't want to play that, then~."

[AmbushCat]

*Somehow, Callista ends up with a wig of red hair.*

Callista: It's the same with a few of the other games. The person who delivered them told me that it was all based on a few of her own adventures, but that didn't stop some people from trying and failing miserably to beat her high score at it.

*Time passes.*

*On the path leading to the Mungojerrie's entrance turbolift, a giant marquee floats just overhead. Several messages scroll across it.*

"Fight fire with fire. Half off of all spicy meals ordered for the rest of the summer!"

"A reminder to all guests: if Yukari Yakumo sets foot inside the restaurant, everyone is to fall asleep immediately."

"Thanks to all those who made our August 1st 'NPC Appreciation Day' a huge success. The staff of the Mungojerrie thanks you for your support."
