"Well.. I have my energy sword... but that's not great if you just want to give things a little whack... can I make a stick for whacking people, Rei?".

[Raleigh]

Yeah. I suppose that wouldn't really require much in the way of crafting though. *Has picked up a handful of dirt and is looking at it for a moment.*

[Harri-chan]

"Then what do you suggest?", she asked, frowning a little as she looked from the young scout master, to her branch, and then back up at Rei.

[Raleigh]

Well we can make a whacking/walking stick with it without much adjustment but perhaps add a bit of personalization at least. Maybe put in some little mark that it is yours at least. *Some broomcorn begins to grow out of the handful of dirt Rei is holding.* Heh, absorbing a goddess of harvest's power has its uses even for a creature tied so closely to plants to start with. Shall I show you how to make at least an etching or something on it?

[Blaze]

Nova watches as some broomcorn grows from the dirt and frowns.

"Uhm... what's so special about it Miss Rei?"

[Raleigh]

Its one of the finest materials to make bristles out of, Nova. Better than those synthetics by and large for instance. If you want to make a broom of such a fine wood then we must use somewhat more refined materials to go along with it.

[Blaze]

Nova beams and nodnods.

"T-Thank you so much!"

[Kumi-chan]

*thinks for a moment and shakes her head* Not sure. Ohh enjoy yourself miss.

[Harri-chan]

Ellie watched them gather the materials for Nova'd broom and chews on her bottom lip, "What about something that's.... not for fighting?", she asked.

[Raleigh]

*Nods and hands Nova the broomcorn.* You just need to tie it onto the branch I think. If you don't want to keep it I can imagine you could sell that for quite a lot of money.

Alright Kumi, feel free to hang onto yours if you wish. I understand what its like to be an actual weapon so you don't really need an external one.

As I said it doesn't need to be a weapon, Elliot. Nova is making hers a broom after all.

*Spins his own branch and as it twirls back into its start position it seems to have somehow been trimmed and shaped into a wooden sword modeled on a katana.* While this material is strong it is still wood though. Not as easily burnt as normal wood to be sure but it will eventually give way to flames. *Takes one of her clawed fingers up to where some of the blood from her earlier damage was and collects some. She then uses it to etch some symbols on the blade portion of her new toy.* In this case someone tries to enchant the material to add extra protection from a rather common element.

Nova nods and takes the broomcorn. Taking a spool of string out from her pocket, she tightly ties it to the ironwood, until she can find a stronger material to replace it.

"I wonder if it's silly to name a broom..."

[Raleigh]

Not really. One of the best names for an object I've ever heard was the name of a shovel.

[Blaze]

Nova thinks for a moment, then smiles.

"I'm thinking... Pleiades."

[Harri-chan]

"I want something useful like Nova made... but I can't think of anything... ", said Ellie with a frown.

[Raleigh]

*Finishing carving runes into the wood to prevent it from bursting into flame whenever she swings it, Rei chuckles.* Well you don't have to make it now if you really can't think of anything. Besides, we've been still long enough. Any longer and we will probably need to stave off being eaten by something.
