Callista: *sips her drink happily* I think I'm starting to like those people.

[Circe]

Really?

[AmbushCat]

Callista: Ooh-hoo, yeah. Anyone who brings me food can't be that bad.

[Circe]

Ah. I should've figured...

[AmbushCat]

Callista: Ooh, yeah. I can just smell that dessert now.
*inhales deeply... then suddenly shivers and looks around, gritting her teeth*
What was that? That wasn't food. Did you notice anything?

[Circe]

No, no I didn't... Are you feeling okay?

[AmbushCat]

Callista: Yeah, I don't feel like sneezing or falling asleep again, or anything like that. It's... I took a deep breath, and suddenly I felt on edge. *takes a sip of her drink to calm herself down* Kinda like how I feel whenever there's danger to my emotional health somewhere nearby.

[Circe]

I'm sure I wouldn't know anything about that...

Callista: *unsure* ...Well, if you say so. I just hope I'm wrong about it. *sips at her drink, not looking as joyful as she was before*

Let's just hope whatever it is doesn't interrupt us here...

Callista: *shakes her head* It wasn't something that was outside, I don't think. It kinda feels more like it was in my relative vicinity, like a bad scent or something.

[Circe]

Oh... Well, I'm pretty sure it's me.

*A bit confused, Callista looks at her host. By chance, her gaze wanders around and centers on Circe's hand. Or, more specifically, the ring. The confusion wears away, replaced by resignation*
