"N-no, no problem at all... but umm.. won't my inexperience in magic be a hindrance? I'm not sure... Is there like a basic of magic that I have to learn first?", he asks, not wanting to challenge her methods, but just hoping he wouldn't have any lessons or tasks to advance for him.

That will likely be part of your first lesson. We'll see if you have any talent for magic and go from there.

He softly nods, "Mhm... sure hope so... Umm, you mentioned something about your businesses; may I ask what those are?"

[Ookalf]

Ah, right. You're new here... Well, the one you'll probably have the most interaction with is the store I run in town, Circe's Shop of Magical Wonders. As you can probably guess, I sell magical items of various sorts there. I also run a restaurant, but it doesn't really get a lot of business so I doubt I'll ever need to call you there.

"Ahh, those sound interesting, I have worked part-time a waiter myself back in my own world. Umm, is running your shop your main source of income to pay off all these maids here?", he asks a bit curious. Having so many maids around was still a bit odd, wasn't it?

[Ookalf]

I suppose so, yes. Do you have something to say about that?

[xGoggles]

"N-no, not at all..I-..I was just wondering that's all, he heh.." he makes a nervous laugh and takes a step back, unsure if he said something wrong. "You have such big manor and workforce... I bet you are very successful with your businesses"

[Ookalf]

Ah. Well, I certainly like to think I'm successful. I certainly work hard enough at it... Well, I feel like I've covered just about everything I can think of. If you have any more questions, I'll be happy to answer them.

How long? Hmm, about as long as I've been an individual, I suppose. That would be around... nine years ago, I believe.

"Ah okay, nine years is a--... wait... Are you saying.. you are only nine years old??! , quickly putting his hands to cover his mouth, he should not have said that out loud. He didn't want to sound disrespectful but this caught him very much off-guard.

*In the background, one of the Bridge-playing maids pauses, scowls, and passes a few coins to a gleeful compatriot.*

*Several of the maids still at the party turn to stare at Dan after his outburst. Circe, for her part, is covering her ears.* Agh, not so loud, will you? I'm sitting right here, you know... Anyway, that's not how I generally like to think of it, but yes, I am technically nine years old. That's how long it's been since I first split off from the person who originally transformed into me. Is that going to be a problem?

"S-sorry Miss Circe. . . Y-you just look so mature and all... I.. didn't know you were talking about a magical emergence", he shouldn't have assumed it was her literal age, this world was already so random as it is, people could just pop-up into existence with already a set age to begin with anyway. "That won't be a problem at all, sorry again Miss Circe, I was just taken by surprise there"

Good. And I certainly hope you'll keep to that... *Circe taps her fingers on the table before continuing.* Anyway, unless there's anything else you want to say or do here, I can call someone to take you to your room as soon as you're ready.
