Circe's Manor THE NEXT

*Sure enough, while several of the party's guests seem to no longer be around, Circe is still seated at a table by herself, reading a book while drinking punch. She doesn't seem to have noticed Dan...*

*Echo and Elk are no longer around as well, though Ellen can still be seen playing Bridge with several maids at the far end of the room. The music's in the middle of a soft, jazzy tune.*

He walks towards the table Circe was seated at, slowing down the closer he got, becoming slightly nervous again, "M-Miss Circe?.. I-..I'm back"

*Circe puts her book down as Dan approaches.* Ah, there you are. You're done playing with Eebon?

"Y-yes Miss Circe, it was rather fun. And umm.. I managed to find my way back here from their room thanks to the help of maid Penny", he vaguely points backwards in the general direction of Penny. "Good thing they were on break, heheh.."

Ah, good. And now that you're here, I suppose you'll want to talk about the details of your apprenticeship?

[xGoggles]

Dan quickly nods his head, "Yes, I would like that very much, Miss Circe. What do you have in mind? "

[Ookalf]

Well, first off, you'll be staying in one of our spare rooms, as I believe we agreed upon earlier. You'll be free to come and go and to explore the manor at your leisure, unless I call you in for a lesson or to help at one of my businesses. Any questions so far?

"Well, umm... as far as exploring goes... anything here off-limits? And.. umm.. will 'calling me in' mean I might get my own phoneee~?", he kinda stretched that last part, kind of hinting that he didn't have a phone of his own. Even though he likely should just ask for one directly.. he didn't want to give an ungrateful impression, asking for more stuff even when he about to receive so much already...

[Ookalf]

I wouldn't say anything's off-limits, exactly, as long as you're using common sense. Like, as long as you don't go barging into any bedrooms or changing rooms or anything, you should be fine. And if you really can't get a phone on your own, then I'll arrange for one to be sent to your room later.

"Oh.. O-off course not, I wouldn't even think of baring into those", Dan shakes his head, waving his hands. "And... anything dangerous or private is likely behind lock, right? I don't want to accidentally release a minotaur from its chamber or anything.."
He smiles, "Thank you, and umm... I'll try to pay it back in any way I can..."

*A few giggles from those party-goers close enough to overhear the conversation.*

*Circe nods.* Of course. All of my dangerous creatures are safely secured. And on the off chance something's not locked that should be... Well, you'll probably realize it and avoid it. And for now, you can pay me back by simply working hard.

Dan agrees, giving a slight bow, "Yes Miss Circe, I'll work hard and try to be a worthy apprentice."

Glad to hear it. Now, what else... Well, I'll just come out and admit that there probably won't be a consistent schedule or syllabus or anything, at least not for a while. Unless you specifically request to do something, you'll probably just be learning whatever I come up with when I come up with it. Any problem with that?
