Taking a pencil out of his pocket, scribbling down the route they followed so far on his notepad, not that he distrust the maid or anything, just having a backup plan to find the exit in case things turn out bad, gives him some reassurance.
... *Circe raises an eyebrow.* I'm sorry, which one of us is the maid here again? Surely if anyone's going to be serving him food, it's you.
