Hm.. I'm surprised no one has tried to kill me again already. I suppose I should point out that its off limits to burn me at the stake though if you are considering it. That really ticks me off when it happens.

Yeah, I don't stay dead for long. Its only an inconvenience anyway. That weapon isn't meant for stabbing people though you could. In fact its intended purpose is to be stabbed into the ground and tap into the latent energy contained within. Think of it as more or less using one of those stick pins they use to take blood samples and tapping into the Earth's energy.

"OH! I didn't know that," said Mia as she looked at the dagger. "Hmm.....That sounds kind of mean to take energy from the Earth."

Well if you look at it right it would be similar to me walking up to you and jabbing a needle into you and then using the small amount of blood I get from it to cast a spell. Sure you'll regenerate the lost blood but you were damaged for my convenience. Other than that though nothing is particularly wrong with it.

"Also I am not much of a fighter," smiled Mia a bit nervously. "So it is kind of useless. Still, that is horrible Mr. Raleigh."

What is? Taking a bit of energy from a planet? By that standard I'm beyond a monster as I've killed a star or two before by taking their energy. No point in using my own supply of magic when I can tap into others or use those of my already long defeated enemies.

GizMio looks at Mia before talking...Every life form takes energy from somewhere to survive. the plant life you consume has some energy in it, the air you breathe, the water you drink, even the ground you stand on. It pulls energy back from you as well. the key you have there just gives you more direct access to it, that's all. its not like your going to strip the world dry from it's use, just augment yourself temporarily and give it the chance to regrow and refresh it's supply.

Indeed. I could have left behind a dragon scale artifact that would have turned you into a dragon which would have been a bit more disturbing for you. A dragon can't really act without causing upheaval to their surroundings on some level similarly to how a human can hardly move without impacting at least the world of insects. On the flip side its very act of breathing adds magic back into the world around it.

"And I get to breath fire and cause damage to all that is around me," said Mia who sounded concern a bit but her face seem a bit excited. "That sounds horrible in a way."

That would be dependent upon the type of dragon. Should it have been oriental in nature you likely wouldn't have breathed anything different than normal air. Fire is pretty much typical only of the classical western dragon.

"I remember in one worl, I met a dragon who looked like a gecko lizard. His specialty was saving people money on their insurance. I don't think his kind exist in any other world though." GizMio says while playing with a needle and plunger before quickly stabbing it into Raleighs shoulder
