Stolen! A Museum Gem Heist!

The letter reads:

As Elliot approaches the office, he is intercepted by the guard.

"Sorry but you cant go i-Oi! Where did you get that! That's evidence you are holding there!"

All of a sudden the letter catches fire!

@ Sir Dact
The security guard doesn't seem to be around. Perhaps Sir Dact should go ahead and investigate the curious coffin anyways, non? After all what is the worse that could happen?

With his curiosity burning, and the guard nowhere to be found... he gently grabs the lid and goes to lift it! Careful to do no damage to the museum piece.

[Miku-chan]

Delphi just snorts under his breath as he turns to look things over. Something about the girdle of change seems to ring thru him as the exact object he would use to subdue and confuse a guard if he were so inclined to steel a unique item..."Del, Echi... Run the full spectral and magical aura scans on this area, pay particular attention to any fluctuations or residues of use from the Corset..." he says into his mic as he video records the area...

[Harri-chan]

Elliot looked up at the sound of the female cop's voice as he approached the office. So distracted by the letter, he'd forgotten to hide it! Before he could even say a word, the thing caught fire. "Ahh!", he cried, shaking the paper around, trying to put out the flames. Dropping it to the floor, he stomps his foot on it several times. "Sorry!".

@ Elliot-Chan:
The letter is consumed in an intense bluish flame, hotter that than the in a McDonald's lawsuit, and no doubt singes the sole of Elliot's shoe.

But wait! There's more! :D

In a crackle and a pop, the remains of the Phantom Thief's letter begins shift, forming 'something'. But what?

The female guard is too preoccupied by the spectacle of the burning letter and the repugnant smell of burnt rubber to pay any mind to the androgynous boy before her.

@ Sir Dact:
With a very obnoxious creeeeeak the lid of the gaudy sarcophagus slides aside revealing a hidden tunnel that leads to a secret room! Jinkies! Inside the brave knight can hear the sound of somebody struggling, a young woman maybe?

@ Delphi and his Fun Pals:

As Del and Echi scan the museum for the girdle's unique mystical signature, their devices find a strange energy interference lingering throughout the entire museum, which on screen will show up as a pale blue fog. The mist doesn't show sign of relation to any artifact (including the Girdle) or work of art on display. Rather the mist seems to ooze from the walls, the ceiling and the floor like steam...

The astute eye may notice that the energy clumps in certain areas of the museum. There is such a clump right next to Delphi in fact!

[Harri-chan]

Seeing the letter destroyed, Elliot lifted his foot from the flame and jumped back against the wall, "Aww, hell, I just bought these sneakers... ". He peered down as the remains started to shift, and then watched the female cop. Chewing his lip, he glanced back and forth between her and the door to the office, where the transformed guard was supposedly being kept. Decisions, decisions. From what the cop outside had said, the transformed guard wasn't really in the right state of mind to be much help, so figuring she could could wait, he turned his attention to the ashes on the floor, although, being a teenage boy, he did struggle to keep his concentration, his blue eyes glancing towards the edge of the cop's skirt, along with her chest.

[Knight Errant]

"Well what do you know..." Dact heads inside! This had to be a good lead!

[Miku-chan]

*The pair of lite motes scan the place..." nothing in the regular electromagnetic spectrum. Shifting to combine Magical/ spectrums..." Del reports back.
"This is odd, some kind of unrelated energy seems to be near the walls and ceiling. Though there seems..to...be...BOSS, LIGHTSHIFT NOW...Somethings concentrating right next to you" Echi calls out as she panics and hits the alerts to the pagers of the staff inside, hoping they get out without harm...

Delphi continues to record the scene as Echi's warning starts to come thru..."Wha???"

@ Elliot-Chan:

Elliot's efforts do not go unrewarded, nor unnoticed for that matter!

"Hey! Eyes up here you, perv!" shouts the police woman, slapping poor Elliot across the face. Her angry expression turns to one of puzzlement however as she directs her gaze towards something located near Elliot's feet.

"Hey, what is that?" she inquires, pointing to a blue rose that has somehow materialized from the ashes of the letter. A note is attached...

@ Sir Dact:

Thus does Brave Sir Dact venture onward into the chamber dark! Yet as soon as he steps foot into the passage the lid of the sarcophagus slams behind him, trapping him in a dimly lit room full of mops, brooms and other cleaning supplies. Sir Dact has stumbled across the janitor's supply closet, host to all manner of devices needed to keep the museum clean.

Beneath a shelf lies a person wrapped up in pale bandages like a mummy. From the curves, they are clearly female!

"Mmmph! Mmmmph!" mumbles the mummy girl trying to escape her prison of gauze!

@ Delphi and Friends:

Delphi almost trips across a small object placed near the floor, a small, light-bluish candle that has nearly melted to a puddle of wax. If either of Delphi's lite mote assistants were to scan the candle, they would see that they are generating the eerie energy like crazy!

[Harri-chan]

Elliot could hear her voice, but couldn't take her eyes off her figure until her palm struck his cheek, stinging the skin. "Oww... ", he winced, snapping out of the trance. "What was that for?". However, he saw she wasn't looking at him anymore, but rather, down at his feet. Peering down to see the rose, he quickly bent and picked it up. Turning his back on her to try and make it awkward for her to grab it off him, he tugged the note free and opened it up. "Just give me a sec! I already have a suspect in mind, and so far none of the evidence disproves them... let me read it!".

[Knight Errant]

"... huh." Dact takes out a lantern, lighting up the place a bit. Setting it on a shelf he then takes a dagger, carefully cutting away the bandages on the woman's face!

@ Elliot-Chan:
"Oh?" says the cop. "Who do you have in mind?"

The note reads:

::Ma Cheri,

No doubt you have witnessed
a sample of my abilities! Are
you impressed my little dumpling?
I hope you are! -^.^-

I've arranged a little
demonstration to further
demonstrate my abilities to my
adoring fans, but not for the sake
of mere vanity! Keep a watchful eye
my little starling for my next act will
provide a clue of where I shall strike
next! Until then my love I welcome
your attempts to chase me!

The knight frees the captive girl from her prison!

"Th-thank goodness" stutters the pink haired girl trying to recover her breath, before glomping the heroic crusader. "You have no idea how long I've been trapped in there. You're my hero!"

Even with the armor protecting himself from the girl's cooties, Sir Dact may find it really difficult to breath with his fan girl latched to him. Some grip!

[Harri-chan]

"You want me to tell you, so you can solve the case and get the glory. I'm keeping that bit of information to myself right now, perhaps we can put our heads together later though", he said, before looking over the letter. He couldn't help but blush as he read the words, one hand still clutching the flower. His blue eyes peered around the room, and he folded the note up, placing it inside his pocket. "I think whoever stole the gem might still be here, and they're not finished yet. Don't trust anyone, okay? It might be someone you know... ". Turning around to face the female cop, he was still blushing, and offered her the blue rose. "Does the museum have other precious stones on display?".

[Knight Errant]

Dact squirms a bit in the vicelike grip of the fan girl... glad of his armor. He pats the girl on the back. "Really... its nothing. I'm just glad I came across you when I did." He looks around. "... how did you get in here, miss?"

@ Elliot-Chan:

"Sir, I'm a cop, so it's my duty to ask these kinds of questions" says the she-cop glaring at Elliot. "I'm doing my part to bring this crook in for justice's sake, not for prestige or money that you mercenary types crave!" ):(

She sighs, calming down a bit, before noticing the offered rose, politely taking it.

"If you are looking for precious gemstones, you will want to try the Hall of Minerals located on the 2nd floor. Its sandwiched between the astronomy exhibit and the oceanology displays. You better be careful though. If this creep is still about like you suspect he or she is, that place would be a perfect spot to stage a trap or an ambush. Its practically a maze up there."

@ Sir Dact

"Huh?" says the girl, realizing she is clinging onto the knight. Blushing, she quickly lets go of Dact and steps away.

"Sorry about that..." she says dusting herself off. "I am, or at least was, Dr. Golbez, an Egyptology professor at MU. I came here because I received a mysterious message about a secret compartment located in the Sarcophagus of the Pharaoh Nasir III. Naturally I had to come and investigate this strange rumor. The message told me to arrive at the museum towards the end of the day so I could conduct my study in peace without interruption from obnoxious tourists...

".... It's funny, yet I can't seem to recall how I wound up here. The last thing I remember is walking over to the Egyptology exhibit after checking in with the security guard before blacking out. The next thing I know I'm wrapped up like an ancient mummy stuck with the body that could put the local sorority girls to shame. Its all quite bizarre really and quite frustrating to boot..." >.<
