The reinforcements, however, continue to approach the entrenched troopers. The EDU robots simply continue to advance, their composite nanoadaptive armor simply shrugging off the stunning lasers. In fact, the troopers may note that the armor continues to adapt itself, becoming laser-reflective, electrically insulated, and EMP hardened.
The girls, meanwhile, spread out, taking advantage of the buildings to cover their own approach, although they note that their own electrolasers have little effect on the powerful armor of the troopers. Some of the girls start to vanish, however, teleporting up atop some of the surrounding buildings to get a better vantage point to cover their approach, and any troopers who inadvertantly expose their weapons find them abruptly disabled, as metal rods are teleported directly into their working components.
The troopers hunker down... staying defensive as much as they can. The CTC can spend time coming at them if they want... The soldiers with disabled lasers talk with the others for a moment... then charge out from behind cover, running towards the EDU robots. Their allies laying down covering fire as snipers aim to get a bead on the teleported girls.

As soon as the missile locks are detected, the vertol's defenses activate, active jamming kicking in to try and disrupt guidance locks, while flares, chaff, and other countermeasures are dispensed to try and throw off missile guidance systems. The vertols break up their approach, each swinging off to approach from a different direction.
"Command, this is Squadron Three! We're taking incoming fire, LZ is hot! Preparing for combat drop!"
The vertols loose the missiles, detouring around to a less launcher-filled approach. But the vertibirds are hot on their tails... soon they will be within range!

The pressure increases against the man's neck as his wrists are twisted- with inhuman strength; the force which threatens to break bones, assuming he was human, rather than part lawyer, perhaps.
"What are you doing here in the city, and what's the device in this room that you have to be so secretive with your own soldiers about?"
She doesn't seem to be letting on about herself, considering how quickly she ignored his questions and up'd the ante.
The man's voice hardly wavers as his arms are jerked back... "Well I would like to tell you all about it, but..." There is a sudden beep from the device... a green light on it blinking and turning red. The man's eyes lock on it. "It seems we are out of time."
There is a splitting crack... the man's arms, neck, torso all twisting unnaturally as suddenly he is facing her... the cracking sound becoming louder as his skin begins splitting open... metal cables flying out from within to ensnare her!
