Hm... *Again, the waitress runs back in, handing Ookalf and Thaddea their bills. Things... seem to have been pretty cheap, all things considered.*

"Oh..Okay, g-great. Thank you." Al, of course, looks very relieved about this. "Are we through p-paying, or..?"

"Oh..Okay, g-great. Thank you." Al, of course, looks very relieved about this. "Are we through p-paying, or..?"

I guess so... We should probably be leaving now, I guess.

Sounds good to me. *And Yoko heads for the door.*

Al gets up and starts to follow Yoko, stopping to say goodbye to Thaddea. "S-see you later." And he then follows the rest of the way out.

*Ookalf heads out with Yoko, though both pause once outside so the group can talk a bit.* So, we just got lunch, and a job for you... What now?

"U-um..." Al sort of awkwardly points at one of his ears.

Oh, right... Totally forgot about that!

Seriously, Dad? How do you forget something like this?

Uh, well... Y'know... *Unable to come up with an actual answer, Ookalf pulls a cellphone out of his pocket and dials up Circe.* Hey, ah, Circe? Ookalf here. We've got a tiny bit of an issue here... *And so he begins to tell Circe a bit about what they've been up to, including Al's sudden transformation.*

Al stands by and watches, his ears occasionally moving around and picking up various sounds around him.
((Depending on how much Circe knows about werewolves in general, she might be able to tell what's going on. Do you want me to PM you some of that sort of information?))

(Sure, sounds good.)

Uh-huh... Uh-huh... Can you repeat that last...? Yeah... *Ookalf takes a moment to register everything Circe's telling him before trying to pass it on to Al.* OK, uh, Circe thinks that your, uh, mind or soul or whatever, is kinda in two parts thanks to the werewolf thing, uh, a human part and an animal one... Uh-huh... So, uh, when you were all hungry and, and homeless and stuff before, the wolf part of you started to kinda worry about itself, I guess, and started looking for things to eat when it could get control... Which was usually just during the full moon, right? RIght...

...But, uh, when Circe gave you that thing before, it kinda gave you both a bit of control over changing, and stuff. So, y'know, when you were looking at the burger, the wolf was getting hungry too, and it wanted to, ah, eat... So, um, it started to push itself on you, and you... started changing to make it more comfortable? Did I get all that right? ...Circe says, "Close enough".

Al blinks in confusion a couple of times, one of his ears up and the other pointing off to the side. After a second or two he seems to come to some kind of understanding of all of that. "S-so..if I eat n-normally and stop being starved..the wolf side p-probably won't start eating people again?"

*Ookalf takes a moment to relay this question to Circe, the gives Al her answer.* Circe thinks so, yeah... It was mostly doing that so it... Er, you, I guess, wouldn't starve to death and all, so... If you're not hungry, then it's not hungry, and it won't have to do that kind of thing...
