*shakes her head* No way. My idea of menial labor involves two practical jokes in an afternoon instead of one.

Edna let out a little giggle, and then offered some of her shake to Elk, "Don't worry... it won't transform you. They just got me a regular one".

[AmbushCat]

Elk: *gives Edna a military salute* Elassar Targon, Master of the Universe, reporting for duty! *grabs a large spoon and helps himself to a large mouthful of banana milkshake*

Ellen: ...I think that's his way of saying "thank you".

I just hope there isn't too much sugar in that.

[Harri-chan]

"You want to try some, Ellen? It's banana... ", she offered, seeming rather eager to win the approval of the girl that would be her sister for the next few months. "Or... I could get you something else? Since I'm going to be working here now... your Mom said since I already went through school, there's no point in going again, even if I did fail last time... ".

*Ellen stares at the table and scratches her chin, wondering whether to take her up on that offer.*

Elk: Donkey Kong approves. Well, sis?

*to Edna* Before she makes up her mind, I'm going to go ahead and put that time-based spell on you. *stands up* May as well get it over with, anyway.

[Harri-chan]

Edna climbed out from the seat at the table, tugging downwards on the little cheerleading skirt as she looked up at Amber nervously, before nodding her head, "Okay... I'm ready... ", she said.

[AmbushCat]

*Amber closes her eyes and holds out her arms. After a moment, she begins chanting...*

Thy form and attire you must shirk,
to pass the age required for work.

*A bright glow surrounds both her and Edna, slowly transforming the latter and causing the former's eyes to shine. Ellen shields her eyes, while Elk is too busy solving a sudoku puzzle on a napkin to notice.*

In keeping with the theme presented,
thy appearance shall now be mended.
To prevent your boss from being mocked,
adopt this form when thou on the clock.
More than just another odd local,
pep and spirit shall be more vocal!

*A flash of light as the spell's effects fully take hold. Amber lowers her arms and stops glowing, catching her breath. She takes a look at Edna's transformed appearance... and, with a "D'OH!", faceplants into the floor.*

Edna started to inspect herself when Amber suddenly collapsed onto the floor, and she dropped into a crouch beside the maid, "Are you okay?", she asked with a genuinely concerned tone.

I'm okay, I'm okay. *pushes herself up to a sitting position* I think being a maid's messing with my magical reserves somehow, is all. So, how's that form feel?

Ellen: ...With her hands, I'm guessing.

*sweatdrops* Uh... huh.

[Harri-chan]

Seeing Amber was okay, Edna looked down over herself and nodded. "It seems fine to me... well, for a girl anyway. It didn't come out like you planned?", she asked.

[AmbushCat]

*nods* Same age, but with brown hair and an actual cheerleader's uniform instead of just the pom-poms.

Ellen: ...Must have been the "vocal" part that threw off the spell.

Eh-heh... probably. *sighs, disappointed*

[Harri-chan]

Edna gives Amber a sympathetic look, and then glances down at her clothing, "The uniform is easily fixed... and I'm sure changing the colour of your hair is pretty easy around here", she suggested, before offering her hands to help her up from the floor. "You know... waitressing is the only job I've ever actually been able to do well...".

[AmbushCat]

I suppose so... *accepts Edna's assistance and stands up* Let me see if I can fix it myself.

*Amber raises a hand and starts chanting to herself again, but succeeds only in turning her own hair white. She throws her hands in the air and gives up.*

...Okay, maybe not. I think my magic reserves have just ran dry.
