Over the hills and through the woods

Ellen: ...That would probably help; I'm supposed to go back there in a month. *nudges Echo* ...Hey. Aren't you hungry?

Echo: *stretches a bit and rolls onto his side* Not just yet. Maybe in a bit.

Alright, the lab is just downstairs behind the clearly marked door. My table is the largest toward the back so you know which one to worry about.

So Konoko, what do you think of the people you are overseeing so far? Had a chance to talk to any of them personally or just finished up going over their files and the like?

Ritsu nods and quickly makes her way to the lab. Upon finding it, she enters and looks around~

"I have met with the staff." Konoko said with a nod. "Quite a few people since the school is a large campus that goes from pre-school to high school. All of them seem to be alright for the most part. The previous principal quit due to the job being too stressful, considering just how varied in weirdness things could be."

Eebon: *nod-nods* Yeah. He was created on accident at that Bones guy's place. He's basically a male me without any morals or self-restraint. Gaw.

Ritsu did stick around enough to comment on that, blinking in curiosity. "That... sounds a bit troublesome."

Ah, families. They can bring so much joy to a person's life... *glances at Elk briefly, sweatdropping* ...and yet, so much irritation, too.

"Admit it, Amber, if Elk suddenly became quiet, you wouldn't know what to do." Winks.

Ellen: *nods* ...The sooner winter break comes, the better.

"Going to go on a small vacation or something?"

Elk: Hold on to the hats; I'm going for a spin, spin, spin! *starts running around in circles*

Uzuko giggles loudly at this. "Faster, faster!"

"... they both make me tired." Usagi said, scratching her head and giving a small laugh.

*Eebon nods as Ritsu leaves and acquires some food for herself.*

"Admit it, Amber, if Elk suddenly became quiet, you wouldn't know what to do." Winks.

*Amber decides to ham it up a bit, palming the side of her face and looking completely shocked.*

Oh no, Elk has laryngitis! The world is set to implode! Excuse me while I bury my face in my pillow... *drops the act and falls to her knees, giggling*

"Going to go on a small vacation or something?"

Ellen: ... *watching as Elk continues to spin around, "faster, faster" as Uzuko requested* ... *nods* Yes.

All the beauty of living in worlds like these. Without the weirdness I would get bored I think.

*Ritsu finds a rather fully furnished lab not entirely unlike the ones aboard the Avatar or inside DrakeCorp. Near the back of the room is a rather large lab table covered in various paraphernalia associated with science including some plans for realizing a hard light weapon generator, some nano-machines, and other such devices. Along the walls and randomly hanging from the ceiling are various tools and containers some of which hold specimens of various flora and fauna. A few smaller tables in the room have some others already working on things at them ranging from one young man tweaking what appears to be an intelligent device to what must either be twins or clones fiddling with some sort of mechanical eye on their table. Another table seems to feature a robot retooling her own arm using some of that odd thought/will metal that Raleigh uses for his spaceship. There are several other tables throughout the room open though for one to settle into work on whatever they want.*

*Eebon will find the table laid out with all sorts of food not the least of which are various seafood and sushi platters. In between the amount of catpeople who will be here and the known fact that Rei is rather fond of fish this probably isn't surprising. Several cakes and cookies and the like are also present. Drinking some punch leaning against the table is a young woman of Asian descent looking around with a barely contained look of 'holy crap' on her face.*

Ritsu turns rather excited upon finding herself in such surroundings, and cackles a little as she looks around, moving over and examining the containers of the flora/fauna, observing structures and everything.

It only measures larger than the room it from what can be seen and it appears to be at a distance inside the container. Hanging from the ceiling are a few containers holding things ranging from crimson nirnroots to rabbites. Near the largest table, presumably Rei's, sits at least three containing a mabbit, a cabbit, and a makona likely for analysis. On the right are several containers holding at least one example of a dryad like creature, an aragami seed, a severed left hand, what looks like an exact copy of Rei's default Mr. Drake body, a massu, and a few other creatures that seem to be mutated to the point making out what they originally were difficult. A door on this side of the lab labeled Chimeric Research is situated on this side of the lab.*

"This is simply amazing..." She muttered, looking over the specimens and observing them. Noticing the door, she found herself curious about seeing research on chimeras, and made her way on over, attempting to open the door.

Konoko nods. "It's like if -- for example -- Ritsu gave up science or Usagi gave up her love of cosplay and anime. Sudden changes are a weird thing."

"That makes me sound like a crazy otaku, mom." Usagi said, sweat-dropping.

Eebon: Oh, Raleigh's my godpapa (and occasional godmama). *grins proudly* And he's been teaching me and my sis some really cool stuff, too. Gaw.

"That makes me sound like a crazy otaku, mom." Usagi said, sweat-dropping.

*A quiet, telepathic chuckle can be heard from the dozing Echo.*

From what I've seen of Usagi, I don't think she's bad enough to be called an otaku.

"Exactly!" Usagi let out. "I mean... I do really love to cosplay, and I love watching and/or reading anime and manga, as well as collecting memorabilia and such, but I don't make it well known and obvious." Blushes, a little.

Rei: I think, my dear, that you just outed yourself. Relax though as its fine, Usagi. Given what we all encounter in our lives the stuff in anime and manga might as well be a dry novel about an accountant. That and it has to be pretty cool to be a fan of that stuff and see it in reality so often what with the Jusenkyo springs at the like.

Rongshi: Ah, so you know what he looks like then? I've never met him before so I don't even know who to look for. Also, what is he teaching you?

*The door opens readily for Ritsu. Inside she finds even more containers in several rows of various creatures and combinations there of along with several different machines. Almost negligently set off in one corner is something that looks similar to the transporter from the Fly that likely works in a similar manner. About halfway down the right wall is what appears to be a ready incubating machine with a display asking what genetic strains the user wishes to select. Toward the back, which is quite a ways, seems to be a bath of some sort of magical brew. Judging by some of the wear and tear that is obvious even from the entrance it is the most used method present. Much like the lab from earlier there are others already in this room working on various things. One young man is using what appears to be some tools meant more for chimeric grafting rather than generating a whole animalistic chimera from scratch to tune up what appears to be some sort of dragon scaled growth on his arm. A young woman is tending to a smaller bath similar to the large one in the back and overlooking something on a clipboard. Judging by her somewhat intent appearance though she likely works in here rather than being one of the family members.*

Satoko arrives via her portal created from her wrist communicator. Her arms are full of presents that have various names on it. Her friends Erika and Lavender couldn't make it this year so they gave her the presents for their friends. Satoko had some presents for Rei because of all the help she was to build her castle Rei would probably know who she was,but others wouldn't. She then rings the doorbell. "Hello is anybody here?" She asks.
