*shape-shifts into a fruit* Considering I'm the apple of your eye, I should hope not.

Yeah, yeah... *Circe rolls her eyes.*

"Ahh, y-yeah.. sorry... I understand...", he says meekly giving a nervous nod.
Quickly changing the topic. "So umm.. are talking cats common around here? Or is this cat somehow related to Echo perhaps?... Come to think of it, he kinda looks like him.. hmm...", Dan says wondering out loud but then he sees the cat in the Circe's eye turns into an apple... Remembering the warning to watch out for weird fruits, maybe this was a reason why... Maybe some fruits were sentient beings disguised as fruit!

He's Echo's parent, actually. You remember Amber from last night?

"Ah, good!" Marie pauses in front of the tree, and then after a few more seconds realizes she's missing some possibly needed equipment. Maybe there's a basket somewhere nearby to put them in, and if they aren't in her easy reach a ladder will be needed.

Dan gives Circe a weird look, "Yes..I remember Amber, she was their mother..-- Oh... OH.. wait.." Connecting the dots, and vaguely recalling the story Eebon told him yesterday. It started to make sense now that maybe.. this Ambush could be..Amber?? "Ahh, that male cat is Amber?!", he shouts out in surprise.

"Ah, good!" Marie pauses in front of the tree, and then after a few more seconds realizes she's missing some possibly needed equipment. Maybe there's a basket somewhere nearby to put them in, and if they aren't in her easy reach a ladder will be needed.

*The fruits are indeed quite high up. Luckily, Circe's Manor is considerate of the needs of its shorter maids, and provides plenty of ladders to reach the higher produce. Baskets are also available for ease of carrying.*

Dan gives Circe a weird look, "Yes..I remember Amber, she was their mother..-- Oh... OH.. wait.." Connecting the dots, and vaguely recalling the story Eebon told him yesterday. *Circe winces and covers her ears.* Ack... Is yelling like that going to be your response to everything?

*Ambush can be heard sniggering at his reaction.*

He shrinks away, "Uh-ummm, s-sorry... Just a lot of things here get me by surprise..."
Waiting through an awkward silence after that made the sniggering all the more present, causing the young man to blush from embarrassment.
"S-so.. um.. Ambu-- Amber? N-nice to meet you. I'm Dan.. umm.. I'm friends, I guess.. with some of your children.", he says rubbing his arm.

*Ambush hums a bar or two of a short tune before his voice turns more feminine.*

So I've been told. You behave yourself around my kids, and not only will we get along great but I won't have to lodge your feet in Circe's nostrils, understand?

After taking a moment to get the needed things, Marie gets to work placing some banangerines in the basket, quietly humming to herself. While she's busy with that, a particularly strong wind starts to pick up in the nearby fruit trees. In fact, it's stronger than should be naturally possible...someone's using magic to meddle again. It's so strong that it threatens to pluck a nearby cocomelon right off is tree and send it flying right at the poor maid!

"Uhh.. uh.. whaa..?", he squirms and shivers a bit from what he interpreted as a threat. He didn't have the intention of misbehaving, but what if he upsets them by accident? Maybe there were things 'not done' when being near feline of this world.. like how cats will react weirdly when you sneeze near them! Dan visibly starts to get nervous. "I-I.. understand, I'll try my best..."

[AmbushCat]

*smiles happily* Great! Gonna nap now. Behave yourselves, children!

*Ambush fades from view, most likely dozing off.*

*Unfortunately, it seems that Circe's Manor doesn't have any precautions against this. If Marie's not careful, she could get splatted here...!*

*smiles happily* Great! Gonna nap now. Behave yourselves, children!

*Ambush fades from view, most likely dozing off.*

*Circe sighs and shakes her head.* Well, that happened... What were we talking about before?

"Umm, about keeping my lamp safe.. but I guess we got that one taken care of with this enchantment on my backpack.. So umm, thanks about that...." Dan couldn't really come up with anything urgent to ask Circe, for now, so he started thinking, maybe he should practice his wishing powers some more. "I think, I'm good for now... But is there anything I can help you or the manor with using these wishing powers? Like.. umm.. maybe I can make all housework be done so everyone can have a day off?"

[Ookalf]

Oh, there's no need for you to do that. My maids can all take care of their work themselves.

[xGoggles]

"Oh, umm, okay... I guess if they enjoy doing those, then that's fine too... Umm, is there something you need help with you couldn't ask a maid for?", he asks that as careful as he could, full acknowledging Circe is quite capable of taking care of herself, but offering any help was a nice thing to do, right?

Honestly, not really. I have a way of taking care of things myself.
