Circe's Manor THE NEXT

*Indeed, it seems that as long as someone has Dan's lamp, then they could potentially command him indefinitely. There's a reason genies of his type generally keep their lamps well protected...*

He becomes a bit nervous at reading this part. Looking back at the backpack with a worry, he needs to make sure to keep his lamp from falling into the wrong hands... He could send it back to his room..but what if some maid cleaning it finds it? No... Better to keep it with him at all time. Maybe putting it in a magical invisible and indestructible container?... But.. maybe all that magic around it would make it even more alluring to those powerful enough to perceive it... Maybe it was better to have it somewhere common so it wouldn't grab any suspicion...
Dan shrugs, he had no idea what the best place to hide valuable magical items..perhaps he should ask Circe... He gets up from his seat and puts the book in his backpack next to his lamp. Then he looks at the map to where Circe might be, wouldn't want to disturb her if she were busy with something important.

[Ookalf]

*It appears that Circe is currently in the gym on this floor. It shouldn't be too hard to get there from the library.*

[xGoggles]

"Hmm, the gym.. This manor really has everything... Guess she is there for some morning.. or well noon-ish exercise...", Dan thinks out-loud.
Considering to save time, he'll use his magic to get there faster. Trying a maybe less dangerous method to get around than teleportation.. he opens a portal next to him and somewhere near Circe's location in the gym, then he sticks his head through the portal to see what was going on there. Hopefully, he wasn't taking a peek during something private.

*Peeking inside, Dan sees a fairly nice gym, where many out-of-uniform maids can be seen exercising with different types of equipment. Circe is also there, wearing a tight-fitting track suit in place of her usual dress and running on a treadmill. Nobody appears to have noticed him just yet.*

"Okay!" Marie nodnods eagerly, apparently not discouraged by the prospect of just being errand girl.

Blushing a bit looking at Circe in a tight tracksuit, he takes his head back out of the portal, pulling himself together and goes fully through it to enter the gym. His well-toned body might not look out of place, but his casual clothing wasn't necessarily fit for the gym though, not that he was there to exercise anyway. He takes a deep breath and makes his way towards Circe.

"Okay!" Marie nodnods eagerly, apparently not discouraged by the prospect of just being errand girl.

*Denise nods.* Very well. For your first task... Could you go out to the garden and bring me some more banangerines? We're running low here.

Blushing a bit looking at Circe in a tight tracksuit, he takes his head back out of the portal, pulling himself together and goes fully through it to enter the gym. He takes a deep breath and makes his way towards Circe.

*As soon as Dan steps through the portal, a small, red light lights up on the book he failed to check out... But that's probably not important right now. In the moment, Circe spots Dan's approach and stops her machine.* So, you're still here... Did you need something?

Dan squirms in a little, even if it wasn't on purpose, that comment of her sounded rather discouraging to him. "U-Umm, yeah... I'm still here... And, uh...", he takes another deep breath, "Maybe you can't teach me more about my powers but..I still wish to be your apprentice. There.. there is still much more to learn about magic than just wielding it... You..are more experienced in this... So umm... Could you teach me things like... how to store up magical items safely without them drawing suspicion?"
She gets a little closer, for a whisper so the maids nearby wouldn't pick up on it, "I found out that with the lamp I'm very powerful... So I don't want it to become a target of other powerful beings that would wish to abuse that..."

[Ookalf]

...I see. To be honest, I may have a bit hasty in dismissing you before. There may still be some things I can do for you... *Circe steps off the treadmill and grabs a towel.* Tell you what. Give me a minute to get cleaned up, then we'll talk about your issue.

"Sure." The dog-girl moves to where she won't be in the way or knock anything over and then gets out her map to see just where exactly the nearest garden actually is. Just having a general idea and following the scent of fruits--which is sure to be coming from it--ought to be enough for her.

*Looking at her map, Marie is soon able to plot a path to the garden outside the building!*

...I see. To be honest, I may have a bit hasty in dismissing you before. There may still be some things I can do for you... *Circe steps off the treadmill and grabs a towel.* Tell you what. Give me a minute to get cleaned up, then we'll talk about your issue.

Dan cheers up. "Y-yes, alright, sure. Um... I'll wait here then?", he asks looking around. A bit nervous, avoiding to stare too long at any of the girls doing their exercise, not wanting to give an impression that he might be ogling at them or something.

Or, you can stop ogling my maids and step outside. Up to you, really. *Circe walks off to the showers, leaving Dan to do what he will. As for the women around him, some of them are giving him the occasional sideways look, but no one's doing anything more than that.*

The dog-girl maid starts off toward the garden, her tail wagging behind her and her nose tuned to the scent of the outdoors and fruit to help with the parts of the path she doesn't precisely remember from the map.
