Circe's Manor THE NEXT

[Ookalf]

No idea why you're getting so worked up about this... *Circe shakes her head and continues on with her business. Meanwhile, Dan has ended up in the library! It looks more or less like a normal library, with plenty of shelves stocked with books, and a service desk manned by yet another maid, who seems to be too caught up in her own book to notice Dan's entrance.*

Dan looks around to see if her magic took her to the right place... It sure looked like the library, so that was a relief, but she reminds herself to be more careful with her new powers in ways of traveling, for all she knew, she could have accidentally teleported herself to a wrong place. She sighs and murmurs softly, "At least these genie powers are user-friendly enough..."
Noticing that someone was there, Dan thinks it might be better if she kept the whole genie thing a secret; people might be tempted to force some free wishes if they knew... She checks the surroundings, making sure no one was watching and then transforms her exterior back that of his original form. Looking himself over, he gave himself it a little touch-up, making him a bit more toned and attractive. He smiles a bit, happy with the result.

He takes time to think, now in the library, what about genies would he research first? Holding his lamp up, examining it while pondering; maybe looking up how to take care of his new 'home' might be a good start.
He moves over to the maid at the desk, "Erm.. excuse me..." On the realization, he quickly hides the lamp behind his back, as holding it out in the open didn't seem like a good idea.

Ah, hello! *The maid looks up from her book when Dan speaks to her, and blushes when she sees his newly handsome face.* Uh, h-how can I help you?

[xGoggles]

He smiles, "H-hi, yes.. Um.. I'm Dan, Circe's apprentice...", well he wasn't fully sure about that part anymore.. but for now, he might as well keep that status, until Circe would say otherwise.
"Do you maybe have any books on genies? Well more about genie's lamps specifically?", the maid's blush made him blush in return, he might look more handsome and confident on the outside but he sure didn't know how to behave the part.

[Ookalf]

O-oh, um, I think we have some books about magical beings over there... *The maid points toward one of the shelves.* Maybe something there can help?

[xGoggles]

"Ah, okay, t-thanks~", Dan says while nodding, moving towards the direction the maid pointed, turning his body so his back, with the lamp in his hands, was always facing away from her; which looked rather awkward when he kept walking backward, eyeing her constantly.
If he gets there without tripping or stumbling into someone, and finally further way and out of clear sight; he turns to look at the books available on the shelves.

[Ookalf]

S-sure... *The maid quietly returns to her book, not feeling brave enough to say anything about Dan's strange way of walking. And because of that way of walking, he may fail to notice another maid looking at the shelves right behind him...*

Happy that the maid seems to return her attention back to her book, he was about to turn but was interrupted as suddenly he bumped into the maid right behind him. Lucky for him, thanks to that lesson from the morning, to not walk too fast without looking, he didn't crash into them hard enough for any of them to fall down. Still very surprised he quickly turns, suspiciously hiding the lamp behind himself, "Ahh, ermm... S-sorry about that..."

*Marie soon locates another planberry jar like hers, but it's awfully close to where that other maid is working. Does Marie dare approach her?*

Marie isn't that shy around people, just didn't want to disturb anyone's work if it wasn't necessary. "Err, excuse me," she says, coming a little closer to the working maid.

Happy that the maid seems to return her attention back to her book, he was about to turn but was interrupted as suddenly he bumped into the maid right behind him. Ack... *The maid stumbles back after Dan bumps into her, narrowly avoiding falling over or dropping the book she's carrying.* Why don't watch where you're going, you backwards-walking weirdo?

Marie isn't that shy around people, just didn't want to disturb anyone's work if it wasn't necessary. "Err, excuse me," she says, coming a little closer to the working maid.

Yes? *The maid looks away from her plant to speak with Marie.* May I assist you in some way?

"S-sorry... I.. just didn't think anyone was here...I'll be more careful next time. W-won't happen again...", Dan apologizes, slowly moving away from the angry maid towards the bookshelves he intended to go to. Still obviously hiding something behind his back.
He figures It would have been better if he just created a bag or something to conceal the lamp.. the only problem now was that he couldn't use his magic without turning back to his genie-form again. Dan just has to avoid drawing too much attention to himself...

[Ookalf]

'Course there's people here. The library's free to use, ya know. ...What've you got behind you? *Dan's strange behavior seems to have got this maid curious, and she starts trying to peek behind his back to see what he's hiding.*

[xGoggles]

"B-behind me? N-nothing... Ah, umm, nothing important~", the tries to matches the movement in the opposite direction, so he keeps his back away from her, but again.. focusing more on the maid than on where he was stepping and turning. "Really, it is.. n-nothing important... Don't mind me.. just continue with your.. erm.. maid duties?..."

[Ookalf]

You don't get to tell me what to do when I'm on break, doofus! And if it's nothing, why're you trying so hard to hide it, huh? *The maid continues following Dan and trying to peek behind him, until he finds himself backed up against a bookshelf!*

[xGoggles]

"R-Really?... Ah umm... b-but I'm the apprentice of Circe.. y-you better listen to me...", not even in his more mature body, did Dan manage to give out any authority.. it just wasn't in him really., especially if facing someone as assertive as the maid. Moving more backward until he feels the bookshelf in his back and nowhere to go. If only he acted more relaxed about it, now he almost gave the impression he might have stolen something. "It is.. umm, very... very personal... N-none.. of your business."
