Magical Sailor Fuku

"Harpoons? Are you scalawags daft? I'll show ye how its done." Edward swabs out the barrel of one of the cannons, setting in a half powder charge, followed by a heavy net of cable. Lining up the sights and waiting for a flash of that golden tail, before setting the burning brand to the firing pin. There is a thundering boom, as the net flies...

Erin already had a harpoon in his hands! He was about to toss it at the retreating mermaid, but the monstrous bellow of Edward's cannon startled the man! The pointy stick went tumbling out of his hands and off into the water... Whoops.

Edward's aim is true! The gold-finned beauty is entangled in the net. Sne thrashes and fights, but she is trapped!

"Ahahahahaa! Bring 'er along side! An get the hooks ready! You lot can hook the net an bring our guest aboard."

"Yes! Well done, Edward! We finally have her!" Daniel retrieves a hooked pole and starts dragging the mermaid out of the water. "Oh, and Erin? You're paying for that harpoon you lost..."

That lost harpoon took the last few pieces of lint Erin still had in his pockets, but he couldn't bring himself to care one bit. How could he? He had his dreams hanging right in front of him!

"Now that we have you, TALK!" He took up another harpoon and, with its blunt side, poked at the mermaid trapped in the net. Somehow, it never occurred to him that this was a terrible idea. "Where are you hiding the Scale!?"

"I doubt the threat of that harpoon will do much more than that of her being trapped"
