A Brush With Destiny

"Tell me about it. I'd love an opportunity to see what this thing can really do. There must be a safe way to try them out, right? I mean, after the heat dies down." He noms as well, looking to the other two before lighting up. "Oh, hey! Do you think they'd have something about the crash on the news? Maybe we could find out more about where it came from that way."

[Zoey]

Kevin sits down and goes eat too. "Well... maybe... here!" he says finding the remote and turn on the TV and puts on the news!

[Knight Errant]

Jason looks to Kevin. "Well... besides trying it in my basement... we could go off to the old sand pit. No one goes out there. Should be safe to try out what we can do..."

Kevin flips to a news channel and hears... a reporter talking! "-Authorities say there was a meteor strike in the woods of Fairview this evening. Police are cordoning off the area and warning people away. Apparently the strike started a small fire, and the meteor itself is composed of highly irradiated rock. The Police department are warning anyone that came near the strike to head to the hospital for immediate medical attention."

"Huh. That's not bad for a cover up. Better than swamp gas, I guess." Richard looks at the other two. "As much as I'd like to make sure this thing isn't gonna kill me, I think the sand pit is our best option. Who knows what kinds of needles they'd stick in us if they find out about these suits."

[Zoey]

Kevin turns to Jason. "Is that place a good fair way... away. I don't exactly want anyone to notice or by chance someone running into us"

[Knight Errant]

Jason nods. "Mhmm... Its on the other side of town. And through the woods, even. We used to camp there before the state park grounds were opened. There are even like abandoned buildings and stuff."

The news reporter continues to mention how some locals reported strange sightings of lights in the sky. And she dismisses them as simply part of the meteor shower. Nothing to worry about.

"So let's hit it up tomorrow then. If those helicopters were after us in particular, they'd have pictures of us or something." Richard finishes up his leftover lasagna. "Still... what should we tell people we were doing tonight? Just chilling here and playing games?"

[Zoey]

"Of course, we were just here chillaxing and doing nothing of note" replies Kevin. "We should also probably keep our public appearances to a minimum... for now"

[Knight Errant]

Jason nods. "Yeah... we dont want people to think anything is strange. It might link us to that scene. Then things can only get bad." He leans back on the couch... frowning a bit. "Well, you guys wanna actually play some Metro Robo Zombie Splatter Mansion 4?"

Richard shrugs. "It could only help with our alibi, right? Besides, I don't have anywhere better to go."

[Zoey]

Kevin goes grab a controller accepting Jasons offer. "Sure, you're on... it'll help relax"

[Knight Errant]

And so begins an evening of robotic zombie nazi shooting! The game is slightly competitive... whoever has the highest score each round gets first pick of the upgraded weapons... But none of the boys would try to use their super powers to cheat, right? Besides... they would need to wear those tight suits again...

Richard considers the temptation, but the point of the games is to be as normal as possible. Besides, he'll have tomorrow at the sand pit to try things out properly. Instead, he just does his best and enjoys the competitive game with his friends.

[Zoey]

Kevin being the most competitive of the three.... gives into the temptation. Maybe he doesn't have to have the suit out to use only some of the powers, but he could use some lighting fast thumb movements! It'll be fine, no one will notice >_>

[Knight Errant]

Jason continues playing normally. o_o As meanwhile... Kevin... tries to use... something! And he wants it to be stealthy... suddenly his thoughts start speeding up! Making everything seem a bit slower... as he starts rapidly outpacing the others! But at the same time... the game seems to get... less fun. It was so violent... and... icky?
