Yeah, I skimmed the events in Melissa's room, as well as the newbies' intro posts. Hey, my character wouldn't know about that stuff anyway, right? It was getting a little daunting, but I made a promise, so I posted. ^_^

Appearance: Tall, shoulder length blond hair, blue eyes, slight tan, generaly wears t-shirts with some sort of coat or sweater over it and jeans.

Personality: Lance is very self confident, to the point of being arrogant at times. Being independant is high up on his list, moved out of his parent's house the day after he graduated. Has been working odd jobs sense while going to college.

Unfortunately it might be time for me to drop out. My TF was based on being the only one AR'd. For me the age isn't what's fun, but how the age relates to others. I was loving being the only kid surrounded by adults. I'm not gonna stop anyone having the change they want though, but for me it would no longer be fun with someone else ending up younger. It's a shame as I've been massively excited about this from the start, but sucks to be me.

I'm afraid I don't quite understand the problem.
From this end at least, the TF seemed to be about being a kid among adults, and that is still absolutely the case if there is exactly one other kid around. In fact, I've been building up a theme of pairs all along--notice the two catgirls? Two wolf-girls? Part of the reason for this is that having someone in a similar situation, who you can share and empathize with, in addition to people in different situations who will react differently, is a good thing from any angle I look at it.
Complaining about the existence of one other kid when there's 10 adults to relate with just doesn't make much sense to me. Furthermore, if there are two fans of a given type of TF, it makes little sense to say they couldn't both be in the same RP and be satisfied. It'd be like if I had declared the RP over because Ookalf said something about liking animal transformations.

It also seems somewhat contradictory to say "do what you want" and be thinking "I'll leave if X", where X is something reasonable. As the GM of this RP, I must be absolutely fair with my criteria for accepting people's characters. If a person's profile is acceptable by the standards I've judged all the previous ones by, it would be unethical for me to reject it. I also have no authority to kick someone out who's been accepted unless there's some kind of consensus among all the players that it should be done, and even any authority I have would again be unethical to use except in clearly irreparable cases. What I'm essentially saying is I have no power (and have never had any power) to make your character the only young one, and even if I did it would be unethical and not make sense to me to do so; so if that is your reason for leaving there is nothing I can do about it. In this dilemma my only choice is persuasive talk, so that's what I'm doing.
If you choose to leave anyway, I'll start asking for volunteers to play the character and/or suggestions on how best to remove or replace her. I won't be happy about it because I liked where things were going, but it's better than crashing the entire RP.

I'm not complaining, and I've not asked you to not allow anyone else to be AR'd, I know that's wrong. This isn't an ultimatum, it's how I've always been. It's hard to explain, but I like that feeling of... "Oh, this is so embarrassing, everyone else is older. They're all gonna treat me like the kid". When there's another person getting the same treatment it's more like, "Oh, there's another person in the same boat as me, well that's not so bad". I KNOW it's dumb, but I can't help it, it's how I've always enjoyed AR. Like I said, this isn't a complaint or an ultimatum, I'm just saying I won't be able to enjoy it anywhere near as much as it's probably better I just move along. Maybe it would have been better to not say anything, but the last thing I wanted was you thinking I'd stopped as I didn't like your RP as that couldn't be further from the truth.

So does this mean we just continue like this little issue didn't happen? 'Cause I don't mind much one way or the other, I just want to be a part of this. I've been having some serios problems with writers block with other things I've been part of resently and I was hoping that participating in this could help get over that.

I'll miss you, Harriette, if you decide to leave. Now, as much as it pains me to bring this up, I have a question.

What will happen, in game, if Harriette decides to leave? Will somebody else come in to pick up her character, will somebody already in the RP get her character, will her character just be removed and replaced, what?

I would say: whichever one seems to make more sense. I'm not exactly sure how to remove/replace the character, so I would ask for ideas from the other players if there's no volunteer to play her.
Though right now, it seems Harri is...?staying?

Well, if Harriette does decide to leave, I'm going to offer taking control of her character. This is not becouse I am a greedly RPer, but becous it makes the most sense if her character and mine are going to become like daughter and mother. I think that it would be best if somebody else takes the character, somebody from outside the RP, though.

I hope that this discussion will become moot.
