The hallway is pretty much as he left it. For some reason though, it feels kinda empty. Or perhaps lonely is a better word?

Using the power of logic John decides against whistling in the large empty hall despite the intrepid solitude it creates, instead he slowly creeps down the hall weary of any weird 'things' still wondering where the hell he was and occasionally glancing around to make sure nothing came from the room he was in and that nothing was trying to eat him.

Simon noted his softer voice but shrugged it off. "Must be all this dust..." He pulls the romance novel off the shelf and tries to read that one instead.

As he moves, the mirror image does the same, copying every motion. Her bottom sways from side to side enticingly. As he speaks, so does she, and although no sound comes from her lips, Mike can almost hear the gentle, melodious, feminine voice she must have.

Mike was a bit surprise. 'His' reflection didn't say anything but Mike could have heard something. It sounded very gentle and melodious but clearly belonging to a girl. Mike had a very curious look on his face which he guess will reflect back in the mirror. He took a deep breather as an idea came to his head. Mike got closer to the mirror and decided to speak again but in a much louder tone, "Are you okay? You have a nice voice and all. Are you trap in there?"

Angela stares down at the statue as the head crumbles away. She sighs, and tosses the rest of it down onto the floor before continuing onwards.

~Gina~

Gotta go faster, gotta go faster~! Finally, the ground! Unfortunately, she's still quite a ways away and the collapsing stairs are gaining quickly on her.

"Gotta be somewhere to hide!" She shouted as she looked around her as she ran, not looking back in fear that it would do her in.
Jump up and fly!

~Marcus~

The room around him is silent, as if startled by the loud bang. The lack of sound almost seems to amplify the loud snap as the chain that holds chandelier snaps...

For a split-second, Marcus stares, froze, at the snapped chain, the chandelier, and the quickly-shrinking space between it and him. He considers, in this brief instant of adrenaline-powered cognizance, just how flat he would be smooshed if it hit him, and what exactly the chalk outline of him would look if the police showed up and found his remains.
Thankfully for him though, like the break of the chain, he snapped out of it just in time--or hopefully so at least--leaping clumsily away from the table and the falling chandelier!

Jim shook his head in disgust at the site of the storage room. "Figures...this place must be abandoned or something." He pondered as he turned to the room's exit and walked through.

( Yup. Coming back to this after three months' absence. I'm shooting for roughly weekly updates. )

~Jason + Jace~

Jace's foot hooks behind something underneath the dust. A dull metallic thump tells him whatever is below the dust is something heavy and metal.

~Reyes~

As Reyes dives underneath the surface, the source of the light comes into view. Two small orbs at the base of a small statue shine brightly. The statue is some ways below the surface, though within diving depth of your average swimmer.

~Rodmark~

Something soft and warm drops onto his head. A small something that wriggles around vigorously, grabbing hold onto his hair and skin with tiny little claws. Scrambling around his head, it leaves light but painful scratches as it moves.

~John~

The silence continues as oppressive as before while he makes his way through the abandoned corridors. More closed doors with every step. After several minutes, a very faint sound reaches John's ears. It sounds like... a cat scatching a door?

~Simon~

You'd think people would learn their lessons after two failures. After the previous two books turned to dust, this one obviously remains intact, with barely any dust coming from between the pages. The story is a heartwrenching tale of a maiden locked in a castle by her evil stepmom. It brings tears to Simon's eyes - or is that the dust afterall? Through the tears, he might notice a bit of paper sticking out from between the pages in the middle. A bookmark?

~Mike~

The maid's curious expression is positively adorable. As he leans closer, Mike realizes her eyes are a warm brown, radiating energy, love, and devotion to her work. Her lips mimic his question, though the mostly imagined question he hears sounds oddly like... 'have you found the statue?' Statue? What's that got to do with anything?

~Angela~

The statue crumbles into nothing but dust as it hits the floor with a loud, heavy thump, sending a tremor through the floor. Wait, that statue that size shouldn't be that heavy, should it? A sense of foreboding settles over the woman, noticable even in her intoxicated state.

~Gina~

As bits and pieces of the stairs she ran down only moments ago rain down onto her head, Gina reaches the ground floor! It is littered with pieces of fallen debris, which is still coming down. at the far side of the room she notices a door. Can she make it across?

~Marcus~

Marcus' world comes to an end with an eardrum-shattering crash of expensive crystal onto the stone floor. Words flash through his mind: 'BAD END!' It's all over, and his vision goes black...

...

Or not? When he finally comes to, the chandelier lays shattered at his feet, bits and pieces scattered across the floor. One bit seems lodged into his arm, causing a searing, throbbing pain as the anesthetic of adrinaline wears off.

~Jim~

Or, does he? Jim hits the wall where the door used to be. What the?

~James~

James has just entered a small cave-like room. A small pedistal is illuminated by a beam of light coming from a large, opening high in the far wall.

((Glad to see ya back))

Jace stop and turns around. " Wait a sec man, I think I felt something" he says as he crouches down and starts to search the dust.
"Let me confirm, your shelter shield is activated?"
"What are you planning?!"
"Your shelter is secure, is it?"
"Of course it is! Just see for yourself how powerless you are!"
"...Roger that."

The sudden thing on his head happens unexpectedly and Rodmark is startled : screams in distress and tries to remove the warm thing from his head as he runs around : "Get it off, get it off !"

Jason pauses as he looks down over at Jace. "What is it?" He asks, moving closer to take a better look.

having had a pet before it wasn't a unfamiliar sound, though the fact that it was coming from a creep castle hallway made him leery of it, despite that he proceeded down the hall making note which door it was coming from.

Opening his eyes...Marcus nearly closed them again. he was still...here. How could that not have been a nightmare? Somehow, he couldn't quite fathom it...but the acute pain in his arm offers something else to concentrate on, for better or for worse. Wincing, he looks over, flinching at the very sight of his arm. Would that leave permanent damage? Should he remove it? But that might have blood go everywhere...
His mind racing, Marcus struggles to his feet, trying--and failing to concentrate on something other then the pain...
