How long had it been since the King had arrived? Months, it seemed like, and it was probably the case. How many wishes had been fulfilled during that time? Enough to lose track of all of them. While they started off minor, things had been escalating to a dangerous level recently, such as one of the new teachers going missing recently - the teacher being a sibling of one of the students at the school.
David stood outside the wooden door of class 2A during fourth period that Friday, his phone flipped open to a certain page. Like every week, it was going to happen again, a school merger or not. It would soon be King Time. This week was probably going to have a dangerous wish, what with all of the non-believers from the new school showing up and doubting their beloved King. Luckily, the wishes weren't granted right away and would take a little while to work when it did occur.
Suddenly it began, he could hear the chanting from inside the room "King! King! King! King!" with the sound of hands hitting desks in unison with the chanting. Soon after, the screen on David's phone changed, giving a screen that read, quite simply:
"Once again, today I will grant one wish of the chosen people. Tell me your wish."
David quickly typed in "Make it rain tomorrow" in an attempt for the wish that's picked to be a harmless one, but it hadn't worked in the past so he didn't have much faith in the idea.
Eventually, the page changed to a new one, one depicting the wish that would be granted over the next few days. And David went wide-eyed, as he was sure most of the other males did as well. Did some spiteful little girl get her wish granted, or what? "Please turn all of the boys into various typed of girls."
On the other hand, chances were high this wish wouldn't get granted. It was waaaay too impossible.
