The Orion(Interest Check)

Okay so I had an idea for an RP for a while. I just decided that I would give it a shot, and see if anyone was interested.

Basically in this RP you will be members of a crew of the Orion. It is a spacecraft. There is a war going on at earth. The two opposing armies built spacecraft. First was your side, you built the Orion. The other side quickly built a competitor.

Anyway there is another ship out there, The Scorpio. The crew of the Orion is hunting the Scorpio, at the same time that the Scorpio is hunting down the Orion. The Orion is playing a dangerous game of hide and seek then. In which they must hide and seek simultaneously.

There will be an element of TG, naturally. I have established certain triggers for that. If you get TG-ed I really had no control over it. You triggered it. If you don't get TG-ed, again, you simply didn't trigger it. I will GM on a daily basis. Anything that happens in between my posts is up to you guys. You just have to respond to what happens in my narration.

I need a crew of course. You can select any position. There is only one captain. Everyone will answer to him. The first person that signs up for it will get it. (That's the only fair way.)

Like I said you can select any position from Captain on down to the ship's cook. Once I start the IC I will assign a rank to you. Or rather just list you from the person with the most authority down to the person with the least authority.

If you are interested go ahead and post a profile. Once I have a decent crew (AKA enough people interested and willing to play) I will start the IC. Note: Everybody is a on the Orion. The Scorpio is just a plot device.

Name: Ted Hawk
Position: Captain
Personality: Cool, calm, calculating. Keeps his distance from his subordinates, but that doesn't mean he doesn't respect or like them.
Bio: The son of a wealthy businessman who treated all of his underlings like garbage, Ted decided that if he ever got into a position of power, he would always respect his subordinates. Through hard work, he attained the position of captain and was awarded the post on the Orion.
Appearance: Minus the knives of course.

(Sounds interesting. I am not sure how long it will take for me to come up with a character though.)

OOC: I am interested in this rpg. what type of crew members do you need? Engineers, Science officers, doctors? What about alien species? Would each side employ alien species like in star trek to serve in different capacities?

No alien species please, but as for positions all of the above, doctors, engineers, pilots whatever you want.

yes indeedy. I have a lot of little situations planned out, and ground conflicts are actually among them. And to clarify, no aliens because I was planning on having this set in the not so distant future, no first contact, yet...

experimentation with lasers (so they overheat and stop working, who cares they're still cool) is fine, but mostly ballistics, yes because they are more reliable.

question, genetic modifications, do they exist or not? We already have the basics for that currently so the idea of full body genetic mods is very possible very soon.
