Another question. Do vampires have any kind of supernatural abilities, like flight or shapeshifting or anything?

If they're experienced enough, then they can shapeshift to an extent. It has to be something solid and living. They can fly only as bats or something similar.

Some witches can fly, but most find it undesireable.

Humans, of course, can't shapeshift or fly.

Go for it, dude. Humans have their own advantages over the other classes.

If you make a second character does it have to be separate from your first one? Or can it be like the two have known each other for a long time?

Up to you. They can be best friends, they could be just about to meet, they might not meet through the whole thing. That, my friend, is up to you.

Personality: Jake likes to play video games and usually has a care free attitude. He's not afraid to speak his mind occasionally but he would rather there not be any tension between his friends.

Hmm lets say he takes the armor of the dead humans he occasionally finds and if they are in a good enough condition he wears it.

Considering it's near-future, I don't think a lot of humans, dead or otherwise, would be wearing armor.

Personality: Lenalee is calm and happy. She easily can snipe enemies without thinking it twice and is a total freak when it comes to technological know-how.
She is very nice to others and has great manners, contrasting those of Uther's.
Short Bio: Uther found Lenalee as a 7 year old orphan in the streets. He decided to "adopt" her because he liked the girl and because he hates being alone. She is now 15 and tries to put up with Uther antics.

Not plate armor, at least. Kevlar, maybe, but it wouldn't be much use since zombies can't use guns and werewolves, vampires, and witches don't like technology too much, witches in particular, since they're allergic to iron.
