Mike smirks.

"You have no idea."

[Ell]

"Ah, gimme a break, here! I need to blow off a bit of steam after Alicia dumped me like that..." He paused, then put an arm casually over Mike's shoulder. "And you love it, Mike, admit it."

[muffinstud]

"To me, it doesn't look like she does." He raises an eyebrow at the two. Are they...a couple? "Anyway, I need something to eat. You guys know of somewhere close by?"

[Haylie]

Mike puts on a false happy expression as she tilts her head to put where her ear would have been on Cian's shoulder. "Oh, yes, I do." Then she rolls her eyes and shakes her head with that look of, "What an idiot." Then she tries to push Cian's arm off her shoulder with her other hand.

"Other than this one right here," she says, motioning to Ed's restaurant, "I can't really think of anything. Cian?"

[Ell]

Cian frowned and rubbed his shoulder. Mike was stronger than he looked...

"Nothing open this late, unless you want to risk fast food. Maybe we should just- Oh crap."

[Haylie]

Mike's ear twists toward Cian before her head does. "What is it?"

[muffinstud]

"No wallet?" Ray pulls out his own. "I've got you covered on that. It's the least I can do for scaring you like that."

[Ell]

"Oh crap," Cian was mumbling. "Oh crapohcrapohcrapohcrap, not now!" He ducked behind Mike, using his friend as a shield. Hopefully he couldn't be seen from there, and it was dark anyway, and maybe it wasn't...

"Cian?" Alicia called from across the street.

"Um, hey!" he called back, standing up and looking quite embarrassed with himself. "W-what are you doing out... this, uh... late?"

She walked towards them (Oh god don't kill me please don't kill me), crossing the street briskly -- like a cat ready to pounce, Cian couldn't help but notice. "What are you doing, Cian? Did you get bored of the park, or-" he was still clutching Mike in a deathgrip. Alicia looked at Mike, then at Cian, then took in all of Mike, before picking up again. "... Or was a costume party more important than me?"

"N-no! It's, er, this is-" Breathe man, don't panic and just act natural... "This is Michelle. She's in the same class as me, and we were just heading out to eat after studying together." He jabbed Mike with a finger, urging him to just play along. "There's this big... big thing due soon and we were partnered up and behind schedule and I really thought I was gonna have time tonight, but she's just such a dunce sometimes, you know?" He laughed weakly.

[Haylie]

"Wh- Oh! Right, hi. Uh... pleasure to meet you." She blushes and rubs the back of her head as she tries to think of a good lie to go with Cian's. It shouldn't be too hard, right? "Yeah, heheh, silly me. You see, I suffer from, uh, short-term memory loss every so often."

Okay, maybe not so easy after all...

[Ell]

Memory loss? Oh lord. Alicia didn't seem to buy it completely, either, so Cian quickly changed the subject. "And this here," he said, grabbing Ray with an arm around his neck, "Is Ray, a close personal friend of hers. They have a lot in common."

"Cian, you..." she started, but then sighed. "Forget it. Look, when you're done being weird, I'm willing to give the 'date' thing another chance, alright?"

Alicia turned to walk away, and Cian took a moment to try and slow his heart before she turned back.

"Oh, and nice meeting the two of yo- Did your tail just move?"

[muffinstud]

"Nope! She was just motioning me over, weren't you pumpkin?" Ray opens his trenchcoat and wraps it over Mike's shoulder, pulling her close as he does so. "I thought you looked cold; why didn't you just say so?" Ray grins and whispers through his teeth. "Sorry."

[Haylie]

She whispers back, "You seriously owe me."

Aloud, she speaks while laughing nervously, "T-tail? Where would you get that idea? Like Cupcake said, I was just a bit cold!" She turns her head to Ray's. "Thank you, baby!"

She grins a bit too much. One fang is just slightly visible. Her hat slips just a little bit.

Ray quickly readjusts her hat, hoping Alicia didn't notice. He turns his head and puts his mouth near her ear, so he can whisper into it. "You're trying too hard. Back down a bit." He leans back so she can look at him. His eyebrows bounce up and he has a smile on his face, but his eyes are pleading, almost begging.

(Am I seriously the only one that knows what they want to do in this rp?)

(I would post, but nobody else would. What happened to Ell?)

She looks back at him with eyes that are a combination of compassion and slow and horrible murder. Her reply is barely audible through her teeth.
"You're one to talk."
