Fable: The Ties that Bind (RP Thread)

[Kris_Roth]

Aloena was about to be backhanded by one of the Summoners when Lyon attacked the one going for her..."Whew, that was a close one! Thanks!" She then attempts another Holy Strike at the summoner who was being attacked by Lyon...."I wonder if these undead would be weak against holy based attacks?"

[Haylie]

The strike is stopped... barely. Actually, misdirected. The claws whistle through the air past Aloena's face to hit the wall, and knock a man-sized hole in it.

The armor actually buckles under Aloena's attack and the monster screams.

[Kris_Roth]

Aloena barely avoids getting her face scratched by the summoner, in time to see her attack strike home on the armor of said summoner. She smacks it again with some holy smiting attack with her mace, enhanced by some healing light. "Take this, ugly!"

[muffinstud]

Cletus shifts a foot or two and takes another swing at the summoner's good knee. "Fall!"

[Haylie]

The Summoner's ready for the strike this time. It raises one hand to block the mace, but the mace leaves a decent crater in it's steel gauntlet.

The second knee doesn't break as easily. It might actually take a few more hits, and direct ones at that. The armor seems a bit more concentrated there.

Before any further attacks can occur, a huge heat wave travels through the entire Guild to heat the cooling breakfast downstairs again. Following that, a curved blade travels through the air to slice the skeletal demon cleanly in half. As it falls onto the floor twice, Guildmaster Scarlet Payne stands there panting heavily, left eye twitching quite a bit. She doesn't move for quite a bit...

[Shadowmaster]

"Impressive." Lyon says. "Are you alright, Guildmaster?" he asks the woman. "I do apologize for our absence earlier, we were...distracted."

[muffinstud]

Cletus stands. "We saw what happened downstairs. Are there any others from our group left?"

[Haylie]

Under her hood, Scarlet doesn't sound at all happy. She's still having trouble breathing.

"Why... why didn't... you come when... we called?"

[Kris_Roth]

Aloena frowns and bows her head to the Headmistress.."After we defeated the Balverine in the forest area, the traders came up and gave us rewards for our bravery...we got distracted by the accolades and praises from the traders...then we heard explosions. By the time we got here, we discovered a bandit lay in ambush against us. He was a poor shot, however. We interrogated the bandit and then Lyon dispatched him. Then, we arrived and discovered the Guild was under attack. I apologize in advance, Headmistress."

[Shadowmaster]

"Yes. We were attacked on our way back." Lyon says. "I believe the one who attacked us was involved, but he wouldn't speak up about anything. After dealing with him, we came back as quickly as possible."

[Haylie]

"How long does it take to deal with one sorry Bandit? Especially one who can't shoot?" Her anger isn't even sarcasm-worthy. It's quiet, but the kind of quiet you do not cross. "I don't care if you want to ask the bloody Bandit to a tea party, when we call you, we need you back now!"

[muffinstud]

Cletus gives the Guildmistress a short bow. "We apologize, but all things considered, if we hadn't been late, we wouldn't be alive right now."

[Lanzerus]

keaton finds the group in the room where he had spaced out in the hallway, not knowing what was going on he jumps directly into combat with the nearest person. "Leave this fine example of a guild alone!"

[Kris_Roth]

Aloena feels bad her group failed to report quickly to the group as required, when Keaton showed up.."Hold up, friend. You must be a late-comer. I am Aloena Vertana, and these two guys are Cletus and Lyon."

[Haylie]

(Uh... kind of an odd response to being attacked, wouldn't you say?)
