((I think the funniest thing is that I usually use Persuasion to get the thieves to go away. Somehow the dialogue options come up...

And skipping to town is fine with me.))

((I'll start us off. :) ))

Morthal felt a little more miserable than Rath had remembered. Cold, damp, misty, and surrounded by swamplands, she wondered why anyone would settle in the location. There was fungus everywhere, and the air had a musky odor. And, if she recalled correctly, the place had a vampire problem. "So... I'd rather not stay here too long. Just a quick stop, right?"

Malak nodded and spoke for the first time in a while. She, apparently, wasn't fond of the place either. "Just a quick stop, and we can be on our way to Solitude."

The Dragonborn shrugged. "I kinda like it. Nice and quiet. Nice enough folks. Get past the ghosts, and it isn't so bad."

Malak looked at Rath. "Do you remember where the shop is? I haven't been here in a long time."

"Oh... I can't remember the name of it. But it's in the very middle of town I believe," Rath/Robin mentioned. Before long, she spotted what looked like a two-story building and assumed that it was some sort of place to purchase goods.

"You go ahead," said the Dragonborn, sitting down on a nearby bench. "I'm gonna rest for a bit before we head out again."

Malak nodded and headed for the indicated building. "Wow. I've heard the tales about her, but... to actually see her... speak with her..."

"I know!" Rath/Robin replied energetically. "We're lucky to have encountered her. Though..." She paused as she entered the shop. "I'm not sure if I'll tell too many people about the experience, given all thee other... circumstances," she added.

Malak continued, entering in behind. "I'm not sure what I was expecting, but... she just seems so... normal. She has... actual problems. I guess I was expecting her to be above it all, somehow, but..."

((Sorry I vanished again. I altered my email address and accidentally suspended my account...))

Rath/Robin nodded in agreement. After that, she went searching for the shopkeeper so that she could purchase something warm and comfortable like fur armor, and meanwhile sell the obselete armor she already had with her.

(Yeah, don't do that.
I assume you've played Dawnguard, in the meantime? :) )

Malak did the same, also getting some extra cloth to tie her hair back. "Best hurry. Don't want to keep the most powerful thing in Skyrim waiting."

((Sadly, no. I plan to get it soon though.))

After spending some time to browse, Rath/Robin managed to work out a deal with the shop owner who, luckily, turned out to be a young adult male. Rath/Robin strangely found that her haggling skills were somewhat "better" with this fellow. After picking up a complete set of fur armor, some underneath clothes, and plenty of gold, she turned in her old armor.

"Alright, I'm finished," she said to Malak.

Malak quickly made her own purchases and made to leave the store, where the Dragonborn was still sitting patiently, looking up at the sky as if anxiously waiting for something to drop out of it. She almost jumped when the two approached her.

"Sorry. Can't be too careful. All set then?"

"Yep!" Robin/Rath replied eagerly, nodding so excitedly that she could feel the momentum of her blond, silky hair. She still felt quite happy about the deal she had made, which explained her enthusiasm. The fur armor also felt quite nice. It was warm, and it didn't weigh her down at all. "So... Are we heading for Solitude?"

Malak had chosen some hide armor that covered most of her. It wasn't quite as warm, but it let her move more freely.

"Assuming nobody's changed their minds," replied the Dragonborn, standing up and brushing herself off. "Must remember to polish my things when I get home. Shall we go then?"

The Dragonborn started off down the road again, keeping her eyes in the sky.

Rath/Robin followed the Dragonborn, and she wasn't entirely upset about leaving Morthal behind. It began to snow gently, partially freezing the marshy grounds beneath her feet.

"Are we taking the Dragon Bridge route?" she asked curiously.
