What do you use captions for?

I for one, don't use captions for toothbrushing, when I make them I just like playing with mini stories and goofing off. When I read them I'm just looking for a laugh.

How about you? The first option is the most obvious. If you are unfamiliar with the phrase just "think dirty."

Umm... Does "All of those" count? Seriously, I use them for all of those, and I honestly couldn't say which I do more... But overall, the story is what grabs me the most. mostly.

Generally, it's become rather tough to actually make them... But if I'm in a more flexible mood when it comes to creativity, it's usually inspiration that gets me interested, and a story usually just smacks me right there and then, when I first look at an image. Then, if I'm particularly lucky, I'll use whatever creative juices I have to tweak the story and try to give it more... Something. I'm not sure what; but certainly more appealing in some way. I try, anyway.

As for reading them... To tell the truth, I don't particularly like to read them, per se. I've noticed that I particularly care for something different, when concerning them... I enjoy captions that have a story, setting, idea, device, or something, that are either different from what I usually see (meaning I probably haven't seen it before), or something I rarely see. It's mostly the reason why these last few occassions I began to deliver captions with a focus for a certain element... Which is why I stopped making captions, until a few days ago. Dun-dun-dunnnn! ^_^;

Dental hygine. I see no other use for stealing images from around the web than to create a story so I can brush my teeth. I almost always am on the side of the original artist/writer/creator/whatever so I actually dislike the whole art of captioning... but darn it, it's the quickest and most reliable way to get my rocks off.

I guess I like captions because next to RPing and Stories, they are the closest ill ever get to actually stepping into the role of the victim. The short stories in them excite me, and if I place myself in the role of the victim, they become fun.

Its the same reason I make captions, it puts me in the role of the agressor, I can be as evil or as nice as I want to be in captions and not be judged by them...

Anyways... thats more or less it...

I look at captions as quick reads... quick art. mini stories.

Man, either a lot of you are hopelessly sheltered or a lot of you are really bad liars.

Akemi I think that was kinda mean. I believe you were just being humorous, but I don't think that's how it's going to come across...

I'm being humorous, but I do kind of mean it at the same time. I'm kinda put off on how alone I am in being honest about my natural urges.

But there is the chance that everyone else is being honest too.

If that's true, I have even more reason to believe I'm an outsider in this community.
