Hate? Who-what's-it? <.< Well, I liked the first one, but I'm unsure about the second. Though, it's probably more that I found grammar/spelling errors in the second that's making it difficult to decide on my overall opinion. But it was alright, plot-wise... But it makes me wonder how they got into the position they're in. It looks more than friendly. ;p

Why's that? I like them both... In fact, the second one more.

I liked the first one, simple and cute. The only "hole" in it is the guy standing next to her, if you had explained his pressence the story would have been tighter.

As for the second I see what you mean, it trips on the stereotype of girls, which definitely irks genetic females. It's not bad, could be better though.

oog, It's going to take a while to get back into the captioning groove. You can definitely tell I'm rusty by these three

Someone told me I relied too much on a separate textbox. Hopefully you can still follow the conversation in this one (the colors indicate each of the characters).

It's nice to break away from the text boxes once in a while, you've done good.

Though you may want to use much more different looking colors. Just for ease
