I tend to exposit a lot because I've always like completeness in my... umm... toothbrushing. I like to leave very little doubt as to what's happening or what's going to happen because I'm a complete nitpick. I like to leave very little to the imagination, story-wise, but that's hard to do within the constraint of a caption and a reader's attention span. And yes, there is a right way and a wrong way to go about it.
