My first thought was a reference to Kashimashi: ~Girl Meets Girl~. In both the anime and manga, you can't see Hazumu's eyes (they're similarly shadowed) until after he is turned into a girl.

It literally translates to "snow woman." They're basically female snow spirits, usually said to be found in the mountains if I'm remembering correctly. Or maybe the word was "yuki-hime." I need to double-check that, now....

Very impressive. And the sea one wasn't that bad at all. Plus the snow one was pretty awesome. Why can't I do caps like that, man? It ain't fair.
