Ed Ray, 91, Cirrosis of the Liver. He was a California school bus driver who saved the kids on his bus from a kidnapping plot hatched by three men back in 1976. All the kids on the bus were rescued, thanks to Ed Ray's calmness and resourcefulness. The three men attempted to get 5 million dollars from the families of the children to cover their failed investment scheme.

Knowing that back in 1976 California was in the middle of the Charles Manson murders, the Zodiac killer, and the Patty Hearst/Symbionese Liberation Army kidnapping, a lot of people were on edge.

Hans Schmidt, former professional wrestler who portrayed a heelish German character after WWII in the independent wrestling organizations, has passed away. His main opponents were "The Natural" Buddy Rodgers and Lou Theiz. Hans Schmidt was the prototype for International heel Professional Wrestler gimmicks like the Iron Shiek and Nicolai Volkoff in the 1980's.

In Miami, Florida, a man was shot to death by police after the police responded to concened citizens claiming some naked guy was attacking a homeless man, and eating his face off. The police discovered the man naked and feasting on another man's face, as the reports mentioned. When ordered to stop, the suspect lifted his head and roared at the police, prompting the police to shoot the suspect 4 times. The deceased had a lot of mental health issues and a history of violence and drug use. He was high on Bath Salts, which causes euphoric highs and possibly irrational behaviors. He was the first Miami-Dade county suspect to be tasered by police after a violent encounter. The media has dubbed him the Miami Cannibal. The victim, a homeless man, is in critical condition and will need extensive facial reconstruction and therapy. About 70 to 80 percent of the victim's face was gnawed off.

In other strange news, Nancy Grace reported a young woman was murdered by a couple and the couple bragged about it on Facebook. There were Google searches for things like Chloroform, how to dispose of a body, etc. What is wrong with these people?

Ray Bradbury, author of the science-fiction novel, Feihrenheit 451, has passed away.

Feihrenheit 451 is set in the near future, and deals with censorship and conformity. The main protagonist, Guy Montag, is a fireman. Instead of putting out fires, the "fire department" that Montag works at is charged with setting fires to literary works (books) with special fire hoses that spray fire. They have special "fire dogs" that burn people up based off their scent. Paper burns at 451 degrees Feihrenheit, hence the name of the novel and the movie adaptation. I also remember an audio book version, and a film strip version for schools.
