PS3 vs XBox 360 Vs (Nitendo Wii)

I am now considering getting a new video game system so I can play Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. I have the game for my pc, and once I obtain a new video card for my desktop, I can get it.

I've been trying to compare the Playstation 3 and the XBox 360 (Elite, Go Pro). I have dial up, so I cannot enjoy the multiplayer fun of Halo since that requires high speed internet or dsl. I've been to Best Buy and to Wal-Mart. The least expensive Xbox 360 is about 299.99, and the PS3 is about 399.99. I'm also consdering Nitendo Wii as well in this. What do you reccommend, and I only have a little 13 inch color tv with cable. Should I invest in a new tv screen for video gaming?

Well, the first bit of advice I can offer is this: Avoid the Transformers game. By reputation almost all movie-based games SUCK. The exceptions you can count on one hand.

To the point: I'm a Microsoft fan myself, so I went with the 360. If you're not really interested in the Blu-Ray, then you can save money. Unless you want Infamous, in which case you're screwed.

As for the TV, if you can afford it, go for it. But try to get an LCD flat-screen. Less glare.

huh?? 13 inch tv with cable but you use dial up for your internet?

either way on topic

wii - don't unless you have a big tv and a decent amount of free space in the room along with a lot of RL friends to play with... it's not worth it. If you do accessories + system it's actually more then any of the other systems as a controller set (with motion plus, nunchuck, classic controller... is 100 bucks each)

as between 360 and xbox, personally i would lean to PS3 simply cause the failure rate on the xbox is astronomical (i don't think i know one RL friend or relative that it hasn't broken on within 3 years. That's 20 + people and not one hasn't had to have it fixed/replaced, people say the red ring is fixed... but it doesn't fix the cheap parts that cause dozens of other issues with the system)

Okay, so i'm 33 and I have Asperger's Syndrome, and I'm pretty naive when it comes to "reading" people and their intentions....so today, I couldn't play my pc version of Revenge of the fallen (Transformers), and I decide to talk to my so-called neighbor (the one my mom warned me to stay away from, as he is a bad influence and known to manipulate me into doing stuff for him (buying him food, video games, taking him places in my truck, wasting my time and gas, and i'm emotionally and physically exhausted after each encounter). I couldn't say no to this guy, because I was afraid he would accuse me of being a hypocrite for being a Christian....so I had to change my cell phone number and refused to give my new number or home number out to him....and he has me go to the bank to get money out for a brand new PSP he wanted at the local Game Stop. Then he makes a deal with me for me to buy him the new black psp from the store (i spent 169.99 on a psp) and trades it for his red God of war psp which works, and his yu-gi-oh card collection, and a nitendo game cube with 2 video games. So, in short, he gets a brand new black psp, and I get the red psp, and I ended up spending part of my disability money on him.

He also gets the pc version Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen as well. I played it a bit until he had me log off because he was house-sitting this guy who is disabled and the disabled guy wanted to check his e-mail. I mean, the so-called friend is disabled, and he's entrusted to watch a disabled adult? What's up with that?

anyway, thanks for your advice. Seems like the consensus is the ps3 is the better deal. I have a PSP too.
